So...is it possible for me to get up in time to drive up to Philly and be there by 1:30 next saturday? Friend's unsurprise (she knows something is up) surprise 30th. And I'd have to drive back that afternoon. Oy. I want to be there, but oy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's not even a 2 hour drive, is it?

I don't think so. Though the meeting place is somewhere in NJ I've never been (I've gotten lost getting to Philly every.single.time. And getting out. Like an extra hour lost.) It's just on the east coast, I adopt an east coast mentality (which is hilarious since I used to drive 3 hours to ABQ for a shopping trip.) And the whole getting up early enough. And being back by 7 pm. I'm lame and have sleeping in issues.

Can someone explain to me how it can be that NONE of the art history reference texts I'm looking up periods and styles in makes mention of Diego Rivera? I mean, not one of those obscure artists who worked in anonymity...

Nah, I feel you. Sometimes it's hard to Do Things on a Saturday.

Moral of CSI: Fat Kills, clearly.

How about opting for a third alternative that doesn't actually involve conflating feelings of shuddering disgust with their foodstuffs?

CSI, ick sigh.

My sleeping in issues are tied to larger icky issues that I'm trying to combat, so... Add to it that when I first wake up? ANYTHING can convince me I really need more sleep. And then the cats get all sweet and cuddly and BOOM. It is 11 am.

But I can do this. Really. She's a good and determined (necessary with me) friend.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How about opting for a third alternative that doesn't actually involve conflating feelings of shuddering disgust with their foodstuffs?

So you don't want them to go back to the ad with the woman fishing (and eating) the sadnwich out of the trash can on the street?

I can't imagine why not.
