Always Anti-fascist!

Hey, did you write that just now, or have you had it, TB?

Just now. It is easy to write poetry quickly when you have exactly zero talent as a poet, cause there is no point in trying to make it something great.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Typo and I share thoughts on writing poetry.
And we didn't even know it. Tee.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Challenge #111 (comfort food) is now closed.

Catching up too late after hectic weekend. I was sorry to see no one followed up on the suggestion over in Natter to write a "Comfort Food" drabble on frozen-peas-as-icepack. I thought it was a great twist on the topic, and it made me laugh.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

How about one on romantic relationships that came out of fandom--people who met specifically through fandom and fell in love. Do Nora and Tom count?

Yeah, they met at one of the first Somervillain F2F's.

As to the rest, I'd be willing to bet you can make up a significant amount of words just going back and adding detail. If you can't find an extra 1,000 words of description back there, in small little snippets, I'd be amazed. (I think I made up, like, an extra 3,000 on this when writing Nihilist Chic.)

Put it in the drawer for a day or two. Try your best not to think about it, and then read it all over from the beginning. As you're reading, just let yourself think back to all the stuff that made you want to write this in the first palce. Another anecdote here, another example there. You'll find it all.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

YAY ERIKA!
