Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Nursing was the one thing that I did right away and well. Em latched on like a little monkey and suckled away to her heart's delight. I quit when she (watch those eyes Kalshane) stretched my nipple out 6 feet with her gums.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

cover your eyes, Kalshane

This makes me laugh. I realized I've been told that (or "cover your ears" for face-space) numerous times in the last year.

Where are all the other menfolk around here, anyway?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Oh, they pop in and out occasionally. D. Gris was around for a while, but haven't seen him here lately.

brillig

The babies have invaded here, too! Babies everywhere!

Sorry, but there's been a cranky baby here at work and people just giving it "Oh, look, a baby, how adorable!" looks. I'm working here, people! The day care is the building next door!

You'd think these people had never seen a baby before. My county has a birth rate comparable to Bangladesh, for god's sake! Really, it does.

Because books.

It is a pretty estrogen-heavy thread, isn't it? Hadn't really occurred to me before.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

What's VBAC? Do I even want to know?

Because books.

Vaginal birth after caesarean.

When Cs when done the old-fashioned vertical incision way, you had to have Cs thereafter, for fear of rupture, etc. Now, most of the time, you can go the other route, if you choose.

Ah. Are those....not good?

Because books.

Sorry -- I thought an explanation might be necessary, and went back to edit.

They're not bad, as long as it's not contraindicated for you (as in, if you had a C for a medical reason other than failure of labor to progress, or a baby in the wrong position).
