Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Lexine, that sounds like an awesome day!

If I get out of my bathrobe today, I'd be surprised.

I'm in my sweatpants, if that counts.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Nora, I love the schmoop. Couples who've lost the spark are encouraged to schedule special time together. If you keep celebrating your Monthaversaries, you'll never need that advice.

Timelies!

Today I'm making banana pancakes for brunch because Kara wants to eat flapjacks. After all, Little Bear eats flapjacks.

My dining room is clean and pretty, except for the ceiling fan blades. Kara disassembled my swiffer.

After brunch, I have to write a proposal that is disguised as a no-more-than 3 page letter, and then I may mop my kitchen floor.

There will probably be other food during the course of the day as well, and possibly other cleaning.

My life, she is so exciting.

Yesterday a character on a cartoon told another character to "just get over it." Kara ran to me and told me about it, all breathless. As I'm hesitating, trying to figure out what to say about it, she shouts, "That's WHAT YOU SAY!" She was upset because the character had stolen my words. Oops.

Oh, and another. I have a glass from Disneyworld with Mickey on it. Kara loves that glass, and when she was admiring it a couple of days ago, I told her that maybe someday we could go to Disneyworld and see Mickey. She laughed at me. "No, silly! We can't do that. Mickey lives in the TV!"

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was in my bathrobe, but now I'm in a towel. I'm not sure if that is progess or not.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Bathrobe? Wow, that is a step beyond me - I'm just in sweats and an old t-shirt. I have a ton of homework to do today....anyone seen my motivation?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I love the cute Kara stories!

Mm, banana pancakes. We just had apple almond muffins. They were delish!

I'm wearing a shortie nightgown and a pair of shorts. I may change the nightgown for a shirt before I start cooking. Probably.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm still in jammies. And I just finished making breakfast: toasted french baguette with herbed brie and a bowl of fresh fruit (canteloupe, strawberries, grapes and kiwi.) I've got coffee. I'm set for the day. I'll get out of the pjs when the daughter gets here.

Hi, lexine! Loved the A's story, you big fangurl, you.

Mmmm...pancakes. Maybe I'll make some of those when Emily gets up. I technically had breakfast already, but what's a little more food?

I too love the Kara stories.

Deena, do you think you'd have time later today or tomorrow morning to look at a couple of pieces of writing?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cashmere, did you leave, yet? How's Owen?

Plans have shifted a little. Owen's great. But he gave me his stomach bug. I woke up and promptly threw up. I can't keep anything down at this point so we're reevaluating. DH is trying to catch up on a little sleep.

I feel horrible because we're missing his mother's birthday lunch right this minute.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sigh. I was in the kitchen getting myself a bowl of cereal when Ozzie the cat started whining at me piteously. I didn't know what he wanted, so I ignored him, so he followed me into the living room.

Turns out what he wanted was to jump in my lap.

Ozzie the cat is now trying to figure out how to get cereal milk off the top of his head.

eta: Ugh, Cashmere. I hope you feel better soon.
