Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sigh. I was in the kitchen getting myself a bowl of cereal when Ozzie the cat started whining at me piteously. I didn't know what he wanted, so I ignored him, so he followed me into the living room.

Turns out what he wanted was to jump in my lap.

Ozzie the cat is now trying to figure out how to get cereal milk off the top of his head.

eta: Ugh, Cashmere. I hope you feel better soon.

Oh, Cashmere! You poor thing! I hope you feel better soon. Puking is NO fun.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

{{Cashmere}} Bummer. The perils of parenthood are numberless.

Lee, you need another cat. One to jump in your lap and another one to clean the first one when it gets milk on its head. More efficient use of the milk, at least.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

{{{Cashmere}}}

Productivity hit a bit of a halt after doing the bathroom. It seems that the plot bunnies were too insistent. I now have half a fic written.

Anne, it's just a different *type* of productivity. Or at least, that's what I keep telling myself about the uploading of cds into iTunes...

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

{{{Cashmere}}} I hope it's short lived.

Nora and Tom should schmoop all they want. Kara is cute. (She took apart your Swiffer? Have you thought about renting her out to a company that demolishes buildings?)

What a great day, Lexine. What's particularly great is that you have infected K-Bug with your madness.

My not-too-surprising discovery of the day:

Six miles of walking + four hours of standing and talking at a party = sore feet and back

The party was a wine-and-cheese party, with all different kinds of cheese. I discovered a cheese called parrano [link] that's wonderful. I was, somewhat depressingly, the only person there not part of a couple, but it was fun.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Take care of yourself Cashmere. Feel better soon.

Yesterday in my little corner of Minnesota it was a record 55F and sunny.

Today, it's above average, but only 36F and rainy with wind gusts to 22 mph, dammit.

I want yesterday.

OTOH? snow almost all gone.

Weird winter for Minnesota.

If Juliana is around, the rain band is headed towards you.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, I almost forgot to include that I got A HUG FROM BARRY ZITO!!!! Sorry about the ASSCAPS, but it was THAT good!!! He is such a sweetheart. So cute.

So jealous! Except, also incredibly happy for you and K-Bug. I know what you mean about Steiny - what a mensch.

Awww, Cash. Sorry you got the stomach yuch.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Poor Cash. I hope you feel better quickly!

Still in PJs, drinking coffee. Today we're gonna put in an order for an entertainment center (actually two custom bookcases to hold stereo/TV components and a shelf to hang above the tv that will connect the bookcases). There's a local furniture store that will make it for us. I'm excited cause I miss having a pretty TV storage unit (used to be an armoire before the big screen TV came along).

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

GC, we're wanting one of those too, though for more than aesthetic reasons.

Deena, do you think you'd have time later today or tomorrow morning to look at a couple of pieces of writing?

Absolutely, whenever you're ready.

{{{Cashmere}}} so yucky. I hope it goes away fast.

The pancakes were a huge hit, but there was so much batter that I did a little finagling and hopefully turned the leftovers into a quick bread dough which is now baking in the oven.
