Book: I believe I just... I think I'm on the wrong ship. Inara: Maybe. Or maybe you're exactly where you ought to be.

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I tend to equate god with the underlying physical truths of the universe

That sounds Deist.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hec, dude. That sounds like a great book, and yes, so much in line with what I said. Coover. Baseball. Must remember.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm quite sure that any god worth believing in is not gonna miffed at me for believing the wrong thing. So it kinda doesn't matter. But I can't accept the notion that we're only alive for this short period of time and then we just disappear. That seems like such a waste.

-t is me in this regard. Except that as a legacy from my more fundamentalist past, there's a little part of me that does worry that God will get miffed at me for believing the wrong things.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds Deist.

I think I've got more of an idea of a personal god than Deism goes in for, but I don't explain it well.

Also? Not a long book. And there's a good sex scene.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

But I can't accept the notion that we're only alive for this short period of time and then we just disappear. That seems like such a waste.

In addition to that, many believe that people are alive because God wants us to worship him, but he doesn't need us to do so. However, we are taught that it is our duty to Him to go to church and worship Him. How does it benefit God any if I do or do not go to church? Why should I go to church if I don't get anything out of it and He doesn't need it?

I have quashed any tendency I might have towards this by picturing myself getting "sentenced" to hell and basically saying "Oh, yeah? Well, screw you, if you're gonna be like that, I don't believe in you AT ALL". Which would accomplish I don't know what, exactly, but it pleases me.
