Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well, I'm impatient, so I've just downloaded a couple of the songs from iTunes. Unfortunately, no "Ain't No Ash Will Burn", which chaps my ass, cause it's my favorite.

What is even happening?

(Just trying to make the bug laugh. If I really wanted to start shit, I would have said you just called her a Cheney).

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Mostly lurking...

Give yourself permission to get a B on the paper you're working on, now. Then sit down, and finish a B paper. Do you want to talk through your premise. I know it's about message boards, and that you surveyed Bronzers and Buffistas. Did you get enough reponses? What is the main idea you're trying to convey?

Oh, I have (given myself permission for a B). I just want to get it done. And actually, earlier today I put in all the quotes from the book I want to use. I only need 700 more words for the paper to be finished. So, basically, I just need to fill in those 700 words. I should be easy peasy. I've got my thesis and everything hard done... Yet, it's not done.

And actually, this isn't the paper on message boards. That's the one where I think the scope is too big and needs to go on the back burner. Emily's working on part of it right now, and when she's done with her part, then hopefully I'll be ready to attack it.

Ack! No! Did not!

Hee!

And, Cindy, according to previous posts, you do know a lot about shit and shit-stirrin'.

What Emily is doing, of course, is racking her brains to see if there's any leftover Perl knowledge in there. So far it's looking pretty empty.

Up with the sun

Cindy, what an awful year to go through.

Hey, colorful graphs, they're bright and shiny.

It's raining as we speak. The water year is ahead of the game so far. But there was not a drop of precipitation in March last year, and we were ahead of the game then, too. Ah, desert living.

If you got onto IM tonight, I could shoot it to you. That song is so gorgeous, but it's on a fairly hard to find indie record.

Now tagless for your comfort.

vw, what Cindy said about chunks. I get the same way--at least I did when I was working and staring at a mountain of tasks. It was always easier for me to run and hide than try to deal with everything at once. Which, when you think about it, can't really be done. So one step at a time is best.

Cindy, I'm so tired of shit. *g*

Trudy, please tell amyp I'm vibing for her sister. No matter how you slice it, surgery on V-day sucks. Mom's doing great and should be home in five days.

I can't believe how lucky Mom is. It was her bronchitis that caused the chest pains that led to them testing her heart. Her surgeon told us today that the location and the size of the blockage in the main artery would have made any heart attack "an unsurvivable event". So she wouldn't have gotten an easier warning sign. Those words give me chills. But all is well and she should be MUCH MUCH better now.
