the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

But all is well and she should be MUCH MUCH better now.

AND she has a groovy new scar to show off!

Seriously, that is so wonderful. And don't YOU feel relieved now?

Wow, Cashmere. And um, yay bronchitis!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hooray Cashmere! And I so hear you on this. My mom had a hysterectomy for a benign ovarian tumor this May and that's when they discovered the uterine cancer which the doctor told her would have not been detectable for another two months, at which point it would have been "too late." Thank God for things being MUCH MUCH better!

What is even happening?

Yay for the good mom news, Cashmere. I am so glad for her. That bronchitis really was a blessing in disguise, huh? I hope her recovery is swift. Are you going to go out while she's still in the hospital, or wait 'til she's home?

And, Cindy, according to previous posts, you do know a lot about shit and shit-stirrin'.

And shakin' and shoveling too, ChiKat. Texture, color variations, and conshish-tencies. I am board certified.

(Most importantly, I know when to say to heck with it, and throw the outfit out, rather than launder it.)

Poor Cashmere. Just think. Another year or three, and he'll be potty trained. (mostly)

How's Christopher feeling?

So much of life is blind luck. Or miracles. Or stuff. I'm happy for it, nevertheless.

Things are going so well for my family members at the moment. My brother is in AA--he started in jail. And he likes his sponsor and is continuing with it. And my dad--MY DAD--went to church with my sister this past weekend. I feel like everyone is getting a new lease on life. I'm dying to go visit and hug them all.

Yeah, my dad was the same way - no sign of anything wrong that would require surgery other than five years of steadily increasing knee pain.

Cindy, we'll wait until everyone's well. She'll be out of the hospital Saturday, so I want to go up then.

And Christopher's ick went away so much faster than ours. He says it's because I'm so tired from childcare stuff that my immune system isn't up to par. I'm better but still tired. O's acting normal except for the poop.

Just think. Another year or three, and he'll be potty trained.

Heh. I swear they showed Maisy the Mouse PEEING and WIPING on Noggin the other day. It freaked me out, but I realized that that probably is good modeling for toddlers.

Bear in the Big Blue House had a big potty training episode.

YEAH! That's great.

The Bear in the Big Blue House potty training episode is fantastic. It has served all three of my children, very well. My cousin taped it, and a bunch of the other Bear episodes for us, when Ben was training. If I can find the tape, I'll send it to you, Cashmere.

The mystic order of the toileteers...

We caught that Maisy episode. Chris was impressed. He's "so proud" of Maisy. Of course, he peed his bed last night, but I saw that coming, and didn't do anything to stop it. He's got a lousy cold, and so I gave him Benedryl and some Motrin. Then he wanted some orange juice. It was very soon before bedtime, but I let him have the juice, because I figured it would be good for his cold. And I'm sure it was...just not so good for the sheets.

I left his bed unmade today, so the rubber sheet would dry and air off, after we cleaned it. When I went to put fresh sheets on this afternoon, I found he'd ripped it. He's been trained for more than a year, but his night-dryness is still hit or miss. At least a couple of times a month, there's an accident (although now he usually wakes and goes to the bathroom).

I taped the rip, because I wasn't going out at 6:00 to buy a new rubber sheet, and am really hoping we can be rid of it in a few months, anyhow.
