Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We haven't heard this dog bark at all yet. She whines a little when distressed, but not big on barking, even though she has seen other dogs, a squirrel, our two cats, and a stranger (Kat, who was the first to meet her! Yay!) at the door. The foster carers said she only barks when she's playing outside.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

You must have barky cats.

Or part Siamese. They are very chatty and gossipy and never shut up.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Eva Mendes isn't pretty.

Lotus Notes isn't good.

Dogs? Pretty cool.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The foster carers said she only barks when she's playing outside.

Ah, she knows when to use the outside voice and the inside voice. Good dog! Go love Robin more!

Huh. Stephanie Zacharek in Salon was just saying that her ass looks like it was plucked from God's personal peach orchard.

Though that's no guarantee of prettiness beyond her ass.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Yay, dog! I wanna get a dog someday, but I think the cat would object.

The housing/salary/etc. stuff is very interesting to read, especially given my current situation. One thing that's kind of skeeving me a little bit is that my mom is being very helpful, financially. On one hand, it's great to get that help. On the other hand, it feels really, really weird to be getting this degree of parental assistance at my age.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Or part Siamese. They are very chatty and gossipy and never shut up.

Dude, tell me about it.

Jeeves didn't start out chatty, but he's become more vocal as he's gotten older, especially in terms of trying to give me commands. From an early age, though, he always liked to sit in acoustically interesting places and sing scales.

I have a plan.

I skipped quite a bit today, so I might have missed if anybody announced that Arthur Miller died.

Heh. Despite his frequent irritation with cat persons, Hec does a spectacularly funny and affectionate impersonation of my former cat, the endlessly chatty Matilda. It's incidentally also a spectacularly funny and affectionate impersonation of Erin G if she lived with her gay brother and me and wore a fur coat all the time.
