Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mine plays the Rohan theme, the Angel theme music, or Crying Game (for one very special caller). Problem is, especially at the lower volume, they just lodge in my subconscious, filed under "Better than Muzak."

I've noticed more and more cell phones that have an old-school phone ring. Startles the fuck out of me.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

When mine's not on vibrate, it plays the Angel theme, the OC theme, or Layla. But it's pretty rare.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

My cell phone is just set up to ring, a plain old regular ringtone, no fancy-schmancy movie or television themes, or anything like that. When I don't want it to ring (which is most of the time), I just shut the phone off.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Crying Game (for one very special caller).

That's quite a special caller. Does he/she know that?

I believe we've never had the ringtone conversation before. Go us!

Does he/she know that?

He doesn't, but his friends do. It's possible I should not delight in his torment so, but ... eh. A girl's gotta have her fun somehow.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Over the weekend I bought a MIDI keyboard. So I googled for MIDI, trying to find songs to load into GarageBand. I was surprised to find that most of the matches were for cellphone ringtones.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Love the single ring. I don't hear everything, but it rarely embarrasses.

My old phone had a single beep setting which was great. I still haven't figured out something that satisfies on the new one. All of their telephone ring sounds are very artificial sounding, or overdone, or something. So for now, it's Fat Albert saying "Hey, hey, hey."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am stunned by how often people's phones ring in class -- even on vibrate, if it's in your bag, that's distracting. Makes me nuts. I'm suprised more professors don't address it the first day of class.

snafoo

FYI, it's SNAFU -- situation normal, all fucked up.

I can't even.

My cellphone plays the Two Towers theme. It works well as a geek identifier. Just after I downloaded it, I was in a restaurant and thought it was really cool that they were playing Lord of the Rings soundtrack as background music. The people at dinner with me thought it was hilarious as I returned my missed call, embarrassed.
