I am stunned by how often people's phones ring in class -- even on vibrate, if it's in your bag, that's distracting. Makes me nuts. I'm suprised more professors don't address it the first day of class.
snafoo
FYI, it's SNAFU -- situation normal, all fucked up.
My cellphone plays the Two Towers theme. It works well as a geek identifier. Just after I downloaded it, I was in a restaurant and thought it was really cool that they were playing Lord of the Rings soundtrack as background music. The people at dinner with me thought it was hilarious as I returned my missed call, embarrassed.
phhhbbbttt ms. smartypants.
I want to leave work already but people keep walking by.
I'm eating what is basically caf sushi for lunch too. It makes me want to go have real sushi for dinner.
Of course, looking at linoleum makes me want to go have real sushi for dinner.

Hey, I'm just trying to help.
So, my boss is now in a meeting, but he asked me to stay until 6. I usually leave at 5. I guess I'd better do some filing in his office, but that pretty much defeats the whole purpose of me staying -- so that he could call me. Eh.

I panicked for a second. I forgot what I was having for dinner. Then I remembered I took pork chops out. I had green curry chicken last night, and I suspect there will be another thai meal (this time, out) in my future this week. Or maybe the excellent Italian place nearby. That might need to wait until payday/Thursday.
I've heard phones that, instead of a ring, have a loud voice saying something like, "you have a call. you have a call." I honestly do not understand why one would have that setting; it is always obnoxious.
I can have mine say "[real name], you have a phone call"
About 5 years ago a friend of mine manually programmed the Chocobo theme from the Final Fantasy series into his cell phone as ring tone. We all decided he had far too much time on his hands, though his geek cred was much higher than ours. Another friend was inspired to try and manually program the FF7 boss battle music into his own phone in response, but it ended up sounding like butt.

I have no actual food in my house, but I suspect this is going to be another eat at work every night week, so it's sort of moot.
I miss the tiki restaurant already.
tiki restaurant?
I have a yen to build a backyard tiki-shack.
Kaitlin in a series? That's so ridiculous it makes my head hurt. She was in, what, 2 episodes? No. Way.
Am tired now but I'm vowing not to go to sleep until I get back from Spanish class. Perhaps that's a little hasty, given that I'm still recovering from red eye flight.
