I just got the weirdest phone call ever. Some guy says, "I'm trying to get in touch with _______ in Apartment 4." I'm like, wha? There is no apartment 4 here. He says, are you at (address)? Um, wow. I used to live there, but that was two apartments ago, before I even had this cell phone. (a) How did this guy get my phone number? (b) How did he even get my name in conjunction with that building? (c) Why on earth did he think I'd be able to put him in touch with my neighbor? SO EFFING WEIRD.

That was an Onion article from a few years ago, where all the Starbucks close suddenly close down, and the company announces they're starting "Phase Two".
Heh.
Yeah, I knew my joke was too obvious and that someone must have thought of it before....
What I'm having a bit of trouble with is the Starbucks in the library. I got some hot chocolate there this morning, because the coffee cart that's usually in front of the library was closed (well, it was closed when I went into Starbucks. It was open again when I left), and it's nice, and has better climate control and comfier chairs than most of the rest of the library, but I'm still having trouble with just the fact of its existence.
Creepifying, Jesse. Random strangers knowing where you live(d)... t shudder
I'm switching to Skype ( [link] ) for all voice com, I'm thinking, and unplugging the phone.
Why all the NCistas ought to consider getting a second opinion after they've been declared dead. [link]
I think it's worse that some hospitals have McDonalds in them....
There's a Starbucks 1, in the building I work in, 2 and 3, in two buildings across the street, and 4 a block away. If the line is too long at one I can easily go to another instead.
What I'm having a bit of trouble with is the Starbucks in the library.
No food or drink in the library!!

Creepy and confusing.
No food or drink in the library!!
They just changed the library rules here. Still no food in the library, but drinks are allowed if they have sippy lids.
The Starbucks has its own entrance, and you have to go outside and walk about three feet and go in a different door to get from the Starbucks to the actual library part of the library, but it's still pretty much in the library.
