Seriously. I've had three people ask to borrow my set in the last 24 hours.

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
Skippy to reply to this:
I don't think people would feel betrayed or slapped in the face unless it felt like they were perhaps uninivited to that universe. I think possibly that's why the Kittens responded to Tara's death as they did - many of them started watching Buffy because there was a healthy lesbian relationship in it.
It pissed me off but not for the reasons you list here. The reason that it bugged me was that it was used to bring about Dark!Willow, whom I didn't find all that interesting with all her Die Hard talk and being so not really Willow. I thought it would have been far more interesting for Willow to have gone not quite so dark but on her own - not from some sort of awful catalyst that kind of forgives her, if that makes sense.
Had she died as part of a fight (as Wash did), I would have been super sad to see her character go, but I wouldn't have felt pissed off.
I have more to say but I have a mtg.
My friend who is currently borrowing my DVDs e-mailed me to say she just finished them up this weekend and is sad there are no more episodes. She hasn't had a chance to see Serenity yet. She's one of those people who always asks what's going to happen whenever she's watching someone with someone who's already seen it. I've been keeping my lips sealed about the movie so far.
I have a feeling she may hate me afterwards.
t sings The more you love someone... the more you want to kill them...
Shooting script has Mal saying to Simon something about getting "innocked" before going down, I can't remember if it's in the movie or not. I think not, because I wondered about that scene too.
It's in the movie. Mal says it as they're in the corner by the engine room. It's a soft and quickly spoken line and very hard to pick up on, though.
ita, I don't remember the dialog over the innock scene... exactly... just the argument about taking River on the job. I'm at work :( and have not the script, nor the memory. Obviously, I haven't seen the movie enough times!
Saw it last night.
My jaw is still on the floor.
Joss's grocery list leaked.

While laughing.
Seriously. I've had three people ask to borrow my set in the last 24 hours.
Three of the people we saw "Serenity" with last night -- none of whom had really seen the show -- all wanted to watch the DVDs ASAP.
Re: Joss' grocery list.
“I have read Joss’s grocery list 148 times and I can tell you it’s smarter, funnier, and more compelling than anything currently on TV."
Sadly, this would probably be true these days...
