Somebody call Trpcc ... Trpc ... that talented wardrobe lady
I may be, possibly, the only person who cares, but Ruth E. Carter [link] is doing the costumes for the movie. I am not sure what happened to Shawna. I also don't think she did the costumes for the pilot, so not the originator of the Brown Coat, but I can't find it on imdb.
Ruthg E. Carter has an interesting resume, though, so I am looking forward to her costumes....
I hope it's not spoilerish to say that I wasn't particularly fond of her choices compared to those made on the series.
Ditto Matt. If agreeing with you isn't too spoilerish.
To be fair, it's not like Coppola's Dracula where some of the wardrobe choices actually took me out of the movie. ("Where would Lucy Westerna get an anime-style Japanese wedding dress in Victorian London? And they buried her in it?!?") But there are some inconsistencies with the show, and where things were changed they tended not to be for the better.

I used to work with one of Ruth E. Carter's friends, and she went to the Oscars as RC's guest on year. My co-worker was very pregnant at the time, and there was some story about a brush with Harrison Ford and drinks (sans alocohol) and gallantry, but I can't really remember it. I think the main part was that she didn't realize the nice guy who had done whatever nice thing for her was Harrison Ford until after. Der.

I assume everyone has seen this, but...

The link, by the way, is to the IMDB quotes page for the movie, including some I'd consider moderately spoily.
I just saw a TV ad for
Serenity
on ESPN's Sunday NFL countdown. It was a shortened version of one of the theater trailers, showcasing action and humor.
I think it's a pretty good place to be doing TV marketing.
Like many IMDB quotes pages, this one seems to have been done largely from memory. :shakes head:
