I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The link, by the way, is to the IMDB quotes page for the movie, including some I'd consider moderately spoily.

Another social casualty...

I just saw a TV ad for Serenity on ESPN's Sunday NFL countdown. It was a shortened version of one of the theater trailers, showcasing action and humor.

I think it's a pretty good place to be doing TV marketing.

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

Like many IMDB quotes pages, this one seems to have been done largely from memory. :shakes head:

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

justkim, that rocks! I'm pretty excited about that kind of exposure!

My unnecessary exclamation points and I are leaving now.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

did we know Wash's full name before now?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay! I saw an ad, too!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I knew Wash's full name last year, so I assumed everyone else did. Zoe, though - I think that page got her last name wrong. I remember coming across it somewhere, and it wasn't anything I'd heard before.

Yay for well-placed ads!

19 days left to wait.

"There are two sorts of people in the world: those who believe Joss Whedon is a genius and those who are wrong." - Connie Ogle, Miami Herald

There's a really good interview with Joss Whedon in the new issue (Sept/Oct double issue with Evangeline Lilly on the cover) of CFQ (Cinefantastique) magazine. Obviously, it's tied to the release of Serenity, but there's also a lot about storytelling in general. There's also a Firefly episode guide with comments from Joss and Tim Minear.

(I also give thumbs up to the Lost content with thoughts from Damon Lindelof and David Fury.)

The only downside is that it's on the high end at $12.99.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

FOX just ran a Serenity preview during the premiere of the Simpsons.

For what that's worth.

Sometimes evil drives a minivan.

Yee-Haw!

I just saw a Serenity ad (funnily on FOX) during The Simpsons' season premier. The first I've seen on TV!
