The website says it's showing at some AMC and Regal theaters now.
I saw it last night. Nice that Joss and the gang get some publicity, but I was a little chagrined at the "it's all due to the fans" because, well, no. But it's part of the publicity hook, and as long as the movie does well and there's more, then the hype does not bother me too much.
My favorite part was, "after only 11 episodes, Firefly was mysteriously pulled from the air."
There's nothing mysterious about a network cancelling a show that hemmorhaged millions. It's pretty unmysterious.

Yeah, that made me guffaw in the theater. Like maybe they needed to hire CSI to come look for clues. "Look there's the corpse of 'Firefly' with a ratings book next to it." "Think it could be the murder weapon?"
With the MLB post-season as an accessory before the fact?

So that's why, when I tried to tape Firefly, I got besubaru on my tape instead.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Like... I guess it's MYSTERIOUS if you're STUPID. I don't know.

I feel so exploited. *sniff*
Hee. Yes, you've been used. But at least you got to visit the set.
Tim would've invited us, anyway. For he loves us for our sardonic wit and classic beauty, not our Variety ads. I think.
However! It made a lovely story. Oh! Speaking of lies, I've been meaning to ask, were you in that whole BIT thing re: Penlind? I'm trying to remember who was investigating. I remember Slave2Faith, newfan, Margot, and Monique. I thought I remembered you as well, during the discussion of who should definately not post the results of the investigation. Which was a hilarious conversation, in hindsight.
I was involved a bit in the discussion of how to write up what folks had found. As I dimly recall, my suggestion was that it was more effective to lay out the facts of what the posters had learned and let the readers reach their conclusions rather than announce what the drafters had concluded. (That's the lawyer in me -- jurors will better embrace a conclusion they've reached themselves than one that they have been beaten over their heads with.) I don't recall if that suggestion was much needed (I wonder if those boards were saved). I also dimly recall some discussion of who should post. I do remember that those who participated had a desire to inform and protect the community rather than play "gotcha" and I thought they did a darn good job of it.
