Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

With the MLB post-season as an accessory before the fact?

So that's why, when I tried to tape Firefly, I got besubaru on my tape instead.

I may have to seize the cat.

My favorite part was, "after only 11 episodes, Firefly was mysteriously pulled from the air."

There's nothing mysterious about a network cancelling a show that hemmorhaged millions. It's pretty unmysterious.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Like... I guess it's MYSTERIOUS if you're STUPID. I don't know.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

But it's part of the publicity hook, and as long as the movie does well and there's more, then the hype does not bother me too much.

I feel so exploited. *sniff*

The evil is this way?

Hee. Yes, you've been used. But at least you got to visit the set.

Tim would've invited us, anyway. For he loves us for our sardonic wit and classic beauty, not our Variety ads. I think.

However! It made a lovely story. Oh! Speaking of lies, I've been meaning to ask, were you in that whole BIT thing re: Penlind? I'm trying to remember who was investigating. I remember Slave2Faith, newfan, Margot, and Monique. I thought I remembered you as well, during the discussion of who should definately not post the results of the investigation. Which was a hilarious conversation, in hindsight.

The evil is this way?

I was involved a bit in the discussion of how to write up what folks had found. As I dimly recall, my suggestion was that it was more effective to lay out the facts of what the posters had learned and let the readers reach their conclusions rather than announce what the drafters had concluded. (That's the lawyer in me -- jurors will better embrace a conclusion they've reached themselves than one that they have been beaten over their heads with.) I don't recall if that suggestion was much needed (I wonder if those boards were saved). I also dimly recall some discussion of who should post. I do remember that those who participated had a desire to inform and protect the community rather than play "gotcha" and I thought they did a darn good job of it.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

BIT? Penlind? Given context, I assume this refers to a long ago kerfuffle on another board; so I won't ask - gonna assume that it belongs in "distant past, not your problem, better off not knowing" file.

You can read all about it in the upcoming book, "Will the Vampire People Please Leave the Lobby"...

Now tagless for your comfort.

BIT? Penlind? Given context, I assume this refers to a long ago kerfuffle on another board;

It was the creepiest thing I've ever seen online. Ever. It still gives me chills.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It all must have gone down during one of my too-overworked-to-keep-up-with-the-Bronze periods, because I remember absolutely nothing of the situation as it happened, only what I've heard from people years later.
