You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I understand the skepticism. See also: CHUD, Tim Minear.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

He received an award from the CHUD foundation, so he's an honorary CHUD.

Yes, by using their trained sewer alligators to bite off the Morlocks' cables and drag them to the CHUD saunas.

Hell, they're organized! I had no idea. I thought the CHUD were still just roaming at random and attacking whoever was unfortunate enough to cross their path!

Do they have a health plan now?

Unfortunately, they still feed their sick and injured to the alligators.

Well, that *is* a plan, of sorts. Not a good plan, but a plan nonetheless.

t edit And also, it's better than my HMO.

I may have to seize the cat.

Which I think is important to remember. There were writers who didn't get rewritten, who were left alone to do good, solid work. Which is very different from some fan perspectives that JOSS DID IT ALL AND EVEN HELD THE BOOM.

My attitude tends to be, "Joss left some stuff alone. If it was bad, then HE DIDN'T FIX IT. If it was good, and someone else did it, then they get credit. But if it's bad, it's Joss's fault, because it's his job to make things better if they're bad."

I'm sure I told you this, Allyson, but the part that bugs me is that for all the great lines Whedon wrote in episodes he wasn't credited with (and I'd never deny that there are lots of them) I suspect there are almost as many bad ones.

Because, man, "A Hole in the World" didn't just happen. That took serious effort.

But if it's bad, it's Joss's fault, because it's his job to make things better if they're bad.
Aye. I remember someone arguing that, see, the Angel writers snuck in this whole Cordy & Angel romance, and eventually (after 2 years?!) Joss found out and had to fix it.

And then my head blew up.
