We're proud to say that the Class of '99 has the lowest mortality rate of any graduating class in Sunnydale history.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Dude! And sold out already? How is that possible? *boggles*

Holy carp! I just checked, like, minutes ago and they weren't even up yet. I will check with S. and see if he's interested and get back to you on ticket counts.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I know! They sold out crazy fast!

Kiba's coming, so we have three for you and yours.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, when amych and amyth post in quick succession, both quoting the same post ... well, it's kinda like old times.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Are there that many of us?

It makes me want to do the math. How many people does a smallish movie theatre seat? 300? So 35 cities x300 seats= 10,500. Not a whole lot of people, all things considered.

Still, if you count the $10 per ticket and the first two screenings of 10 cities each, the movie has already made $165,000 over 3 months before the release date. Chump change in the movie business, but fairly impressive nonetheless.

Someone on a mailing list said she talked to the Chicago theatre manager and was told the tickets sold out here in 30 seconds. I think that might be overestimating a bit, but I know they went really quick.

::sniff:: It is, isn't it? I have my own office now, and the privacy that affords. Hmmm...

I may have to seize the cat.

Thank you amyth. We shall have grand times! Also I really don't fancy the idea of coming back from Charlotte by myself that late at night, cuz sleepy. Being a teacher is good at times like these, with the summer off.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, but those 10,500 people are devoted enough to be hitting refresh every minute or so. So there must be a lot more not-quite-as-devoted fans, plus some more just-as-devoted,-just-not-as-lucky fans....

It wasn't in a small theater for the last Boston show - it was in one of the big two. No idea what the capacity is though.

amyth, hon, I'm gonna have to pass, in spite of my most valiant attempts to persuade myself otherwise. I'm already missing some work that week, and there's just no way I can get back at 4 am and still function. Wah.

Being a teacher is good at times like these, with the summer off.
