Willow: That's a work ethic! Buffy, you're developing a work ethic! Buffy: Do they make an ointment for that?

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

If I only had a brain...

Hot off Livejournal, a leak from a movie company employee. All spelling original.

If this is redundant, I apoligize. The third screening of Serenity has been moved from Thursday, June 9 to Thursday, June 23. As of this morning, tickets still had not gone on sale. Here is a list of the theatres that will be participating:

City-Theatre-Company Chicago Rivereast AMC
Denver Highland Ranch AMC
San Francisco Van Ness AMC
Dallas Valley View AMC
Kansas City Barywoods AMC
Miami Aventura AMC
Minniapolis Southdale AMC
Philadelphia Neshaminy AMC
Cinncinatti Newport Levee AMC
Columbus Lennox AMC
St. Louis Creve Coeur AMC
Tampa Veterns AMC
Las Vegas Palms Brenden
Portland Eastport Century
Sacramento Roseville Century
Phoenix Arizonia Mill Harkins
Boston Boston Common Loews
Seattle Meridian Loews
D.C. Georgetown Loews
Hartford Buckland Hills National Am.
Providence Providence Place National Am.
Atlanta Hollywood 24 Regal
Austin Gateway Regal
Norfolk Macarthur Regal
Houston Greenway Plaza Regal

Most of these auditoriums are under 300 seats so don't wait too long, once they do go on sale, to try and get your tickets. :o)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Have there been any NY screenings?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Nope. NY and LA are getting shafted.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I have a Serenity keychain!

I do not; my keychains are heavy enough.

Lilty, where were you? I saw Frank and Jon B. and FAQ Girl and Theo and Emily and a multitude of non-Buffista acquaintances, but we didn't find you. (Emily reported that lots and lots of the audience was vaguely familiar to her, in that "did we meet in a club many years ago?" kind of way.) I was in the front row, and at some point got sucked up Nathan Fillion's not-inconsequential nostrils.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I was at the third to back row. I couldn't believe we managed to get those seats, actually. Pretty much everyone was seated by the time we got there. But I must have been about five feet away from you at one point, because I was scouring the front for seats while my friend took the back.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Thanks, Betsy. I just passed that on to assorted Firefly fans I know who've been seething with jealousy over me being able to see it before them.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I was really tempted to try to go again, but I don't think I will. (Although I'd really like to dress as Inara.) I'll let someone who didn't get to go to one yet get those tickets.

(Plus, I want to see it again when it's all shiny and done and have it be fresh. And I want to bring many friends, whose dollars will get added into opening weekend tallies.)

ION, I also want a PS2 game. This movie is screaming for it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

NY and LA are getting shafted.

Why do they hate us so?!?!

JZ - May 27, 2005 12:31:58 pm PDT #2565 of 10001
See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

There were a good score of empty seats at the SF screening last night, so I don't think I'll feel too overburdened with guilt about going again.

After all the conversations here, I was looking around at all the vacancies wondering if there were a bunch of pissed-off scalpers somewhere muttering and stomping all over their bunches of now-worthless tickets.

If I only had a brain...

Why do they hate us so?!?!

Because you're beautiful.

I couldn't figure what was with that, either, JZ. I was shaking my wee fist at those seats and thinking "My FRIENDS could have been there, dammit!"
