I think I'm going to make Dragon*Con my first ever organized fan experience (except for my Firefly meetup). But...I'll likely be towing a 14 year old boy with me. (his dog is my dog's best friend...it's complicated.)
I'd love to go the economy route too, and there's this kid...
Although his attendance is not quite yet confirmed.
Jeez. I'd better get on the plan-making.
I can't get the Fullscreen trailer to display. I downloaded and installed iTunes, which seems to be what was required, but clicking on the link now just refreshes the page. Anyone know what I'm missing?
Kalshane, on another site, someone posted a direct link to http://movies.apple.com/movies/universal/serenity/serenity_ifs2.mov - does that work for you?
Anyone else planning on being at Wizard World Philadelphia? It's confirmed on the movie site that Joss (and possibly some of the cast) will be there on June 4, although it's still to be announced by Wizard. I'd really like to go to Dragon*Con because it sounds interesting, but adding in the plane and other travel costs (over a holiday weekend), I might just have to settle for the Wizard World appearance that's only 20-30 minutes away.
Allyson, thank you for the recommendation of Tamara.
I'm reading everyone's excitement, and I feel so close to it, but I'm not with it, you know? It's an odd feeling.
I felt this way for a while but I think being so excessively neglectful of F:IA that places aren't linking it as a "regularly updated site" has given me a lot of the space I needed to come back to it refreshed. But I always liked the show more than you did.
Tamara, you come highly recommended. (See above.) If you like, you can e me at my profile addy and we can discuss details.
I didn't take Anthony's post as a crack at Allyson but I also have been so absent from this board that anything subtle ever would completely elude me.
Anyway. It has always seemed to me that when Allyson and Kristen work their tails off without any pay, it's for the fans. The creators benefit, and that's lovely for them I'm sure, but that's not the group for whom these women do things.
Kalshane, I couldn't get the fullscreen to work, either; it kept freezing and refusing to restart.
Okay, guys, here we go. For saving the trailer in the highest quality, you can use these links to my webserver.
Fullscreen version in the original Quicktime form (40.4 MB)
Reencode to high quality XviD AVI for people that hate quicktime
ETA: The quicktime is exactly the same as the direct link posted a few posts back, which wasn't there when I composed this post.
Oh, thank you! Cause I hate QuickTime.
Ooh, thanks for the links. I already had the QT file saved, but it'll be even better to have an AVI copy.
