So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Dude, you should recognize a My So-Called Life reference.

Who do you think I am, JZ? I've seen it all once. LAST SUMMER. Heh.

Up with the sun

You really did think I was JZ? Wow.

No, just thought you liked the show more than you apparently do. And now I feel like a dork.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And now I feel like a dork.

Don't let P-Cow dork you up! He's just giving you shit.

Nah, it's cool. I did really like it, and I would have DVDs if they weren't ridiculously expensive and out-of-print.

Move to San Francisco and you and JZ can have a MSCL marathon. Then we can move into a Freaks and Geeks marathon. Then Dead Like Me. Teen Girl Angst Fest 2005!!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Somehow no one ever says, "You know, I've always wanted to go to Atlanta."

I'm planning to go to Atlanta in summer 2006! Which I know is, like, over a year away, but it's where RWA National will be, and since I'm not going to be able to make the Reno conference this year for various reasons, I'm already thinking about next year. If it all works out, I'll fly down to Birmingham the weekend before the conference, see the fam and leave Annabel in the care of her doting grandparents, and drive out to Atlanta. Where I will visit other relatives, and Buffistas if so inclined, before the conference starts.

Question for the fashion experts: Is it possible that a woman such as myself, assuming I'd lost 30-40 lbs. and was therefore more or less at my most attractive weight, could look good in a cheongsam? Because I love the look, and they tend to come in those hard-to-find shades of rich red that look gorgeous on olive-toned brunettes. (Funny, that.) However, I'm afraid I'm too broad-shouldered and buxom to pull it off.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've seen some sexy, voluptuous women who look great in cheongsams. I think you could pull it off. Have you seen the movie In The Mood?

Cheongsam-arama.

Though, nobody will benefit from comparing themselves to Maggie Cheung.
