Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

Why isn't there a ctrl+f in my notes? That would make this final MUCH easier.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Is there a diplomatic and sympathetic way to say "I support you and what you do in Iraq as a soldier but I think that our President is a fuckwad and you shouldn't have to be there in the first place"?

Ugh. Maybe this is one of those times where I smile and nod. I don't want to pick a fight right now, but I'm not in a flag-waving kind of mood. There must be a way to artfully dodge this in email for the moment, right?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

"I support you and what you do in Iraq as a soldier but I wish you weren't sent there in the first place."

Also, {{Lilty}}, cause why let a chance to hug you go by?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OMG, Bush just said, "And to all those who oppose my Social Security plan, I have this to say: 'Watch your backs, you freedom-hating cocksuckers!'"

OK, he didn't really say that.

Actually, I'm not watching, so for all I know, he did say that.

Hah - I say this on a daily basis, although P-C was more PC.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Tommy, BWAH!

Could be true.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Awww, thanks. (((Sunil)))

I don't know, what I've got is "I appriciate you, and I'm thinking about what you are doing every day." I mean, he just finished telling me about how a man was killed, but seeing thousands of Iraqis walk the road he was protecting to vote made him think that maybe it wasn't for nothing. I think, for this once, I'm going to keep my big mouth shut. Plus, I don't know how he is emotionally, and I don't want him to read anything as disapproval right now.

Why do I have to be so damn snarky by nature? Makes this tact thing tricky.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

"Come Home", off of Naomi Sommers' second album. It makes me cry every time I hear it.

[eta: Okay, I was listening to the clip off of CDBaby to see how much of the song was in there -- two whole verses, btw -- and then iTunes segued into "Heavy Duty" by Spinal Tap. I have iTunes whiplash.]

Well, you can say that the vote was a good thing and hopefully it will be a first step towards a peaceful, democratic future.

Ah. Give the lady a cookie. Thank you. I don't know why I'm stumbling like this! He never asked for an opinion, so I won't offer one, just the support I'm sure he needs. He only wanted to know that what's happening there wasn't going unnoticed. That I can do.

Also, I must find that song now, Jessica. I couldn't listen to it off the site, but she sounds right up my alley so now I'm going to look for it.
