Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There are several ice cream flavors with alcohol in them. I've seen them.

Are you sure there's actual alcohol in them? Rum and raisin, for instance -- non alcoholic. It's pretty much just flavour left.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Raisins don't belong in ice cream.

I have inherited from my parents a love of grasshoppers, which are made from green Creme de Menthe, white Creme de Cocoa and ice cream.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Raisins don't belong in ice cream.

Tommy is wise, but he misspelled "food".

I have inherited from my parents a love of grasshoppers, which are made from green Creme de Menthe, white Creme de Cocoa and ice cream.

My grandmother used to make grasshopers all the time. She let us drink them, until my mother caught on.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Are you sure there's actual alcohol in them? Rum and raisin, for instance -- non alcoholic. It's pretty much just flavour left.

These are specialty ice creams I've seen at places like Amy's. There's a little asterisk for "contains alcohol." I assume this means there is actual alcohol in them, or else there'd be no need to say so. Though maybe it is just flavor:

Q: Can I catch a buzz from eating Amy's liquor flavors?
A: Actually, in order to catch a buzz from our liquors, you would have to eat so much that you would certainly barf from all the cream first.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Rum Raisin is one of the best ice creams ever.

And, ION, My Favorite Year remains excellent (I hadn't seen it in a decade) and the end makes me teary.

Hey. New board.

I actually have seen true alcoholic ice cream before, with large alcoholic content. Made with liquid nitrogen. But it wasn't very good, really, as the more alcohol you put in the less cream you get to put in. And most people don't keep liquid nitrogen in their house, so practicality is rather low outside of the Caltech campus.

I'd suggest sticking with smoothies and milkshakes, as previously mentioned. And magic brownies a la mode.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Mmmm....ice cream. I had some pina colada ice cream at an Indian restaurant at lunch today. It was tasty but very rich.

In memememe news, I just got off the phone with 1. My mom, 2. My BF and 3. My girlfriend. Seems my sister and her new boyfriend have set a wedding date of Feb. 26th. Now, let me 'splain here. When I say "new" boyfriend, I mean NEW. They've been dating all of 8 weeks. Yes, WEEKS. That's 2 months, 60 days. If you can still count it in days, it's too freakin' soon to get married.

If it was just them, that would be one thing. I would still think she's rushing into it, but at least it wouldn't be dragging 3 kids into it, too. He has 1 kid from a previous marriage and my sis has 2. Her oldest, my niece H, has not been adjusting well to them dating and now he's going to be moving in and living with them full-time?

Also, this quickie marriage thing starting to be a pattern. Her first marriage went like this: starting dating in August, engaged in October, married in March. That marriage lasted 5 years.

I'm beginning to wonder if she's pregnant. She has always said that she wants our brother to perform her wedding (he's a pastor), but there is no way he could perform a wedding in Feb. His wife has a c-section scheduled for next Friday. She won't be recovered from that in time to leave her alone with a newborn and a toddler. She won't be able to lift the toddler yet at that point. And, yet, she says they don't want to wait any later. They don't want to do it in March because her first marriage was in March. Not April because his first marriage was April. And May? Way too long to wait. WHAT?!? At that point, they will only have been dating 6 months. That's too long to wait to do something that is, supposedly, a lifelong committment??

Sorry for the rant. I'm a bit freaked and a lot worried right now.

I know! I don't know what, if anything, I can even do about this. My mom has expressed her concerns to both my sis and her boyfriend. They still seem dead set on doing this NOW. Which is one of the reasons I wonder if she's pregnant.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Huh. I'd be freaking, too.
