Strength to your grandmother, askye, and a general cluesticking all about for everyone else.

I had to stop watching 24 because it made my head explode. I don't understand why they felt it necessary to have a plot device that is not in the same solar system as reality.

For those of you watching: There is no way for one device to control all the nuclear power plants. For one thing, nuclear power, along with NASA, is one of the last bastions of analog.

If there were such a thing, you could have every plant scrammed in five minutes with one phone call and there are manual controls for everything.

Even if you could melt down a reactor, it wouldn't melt out of containment. Three Mile Island melted down. There was no measurable radiation outside the plant boundary.

Now tagless for your comfort.

askye, what Ginger said.

Huh. Working on our taxes. No doubt because of our decision to breed, we're getting considerably more back in taxes than we got last year. And that's with me making a third of my former salary last year.

I'm happy we're getting it back and the Shrub gets less to spend on abstinence only education.

connie, you only win second place for the most depressing link of the day. And that's with both links. Typo Boy wins in Natter for the German unemployment story.

Feh. I think Ima cuddle with the hubby and go to bed. Unless we decide to watch the recorded Pompeii special from last night.

I'm back from a good, but exhausting trip to Missouri.

Many thanks for the all the birthday wishes! I wish I could convey just how much I appreciate them but my wordiness has deserted me.

I'll be around for a few more minutes, but then I'm going to go to bed. Very, very pooped, with a lot of things rattling around my brain.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Anne! Many happy returns of the day! I'm so glad you had a good trip. I hope you spring back from the exhaustion quickly.

Strength to your grandmother, askye, and a general cluesticking all about for everyone else.

What Ginger said.

I am VERY jealous of the SA having. I got a postcard from her today too! I can't wait to see her live and in person for myself. There will be a hugging, I can tell you. Much healthma to SA.

Timelies. I've been kind of missing. I've been reading, and ~ma-ing, but I haven't been able to find words. They ran away and left me.

The physical therapy has done WONDERS for me. I take back all the mean things I've thought about physical therapy. The pain I've been in since Aidan was born has been much ameliorated. It's not gone, but it's so much better than it was. I even went to sleep without a muscle relaxer a couple of nights ago. I'd go on, but suffice to say that my therapist likes carrots!

The biggest reason I've been missing is because I've been building a website for a client. I thought it would be ~20 pages -- it's turned into 60, pretty well paid pages. He even paid me for the time it took to learn to do some new stuff because I was learning it to do the work for him. I presented it today and he had only about 3 little fixes he wanted done. Also, in the middle of doing the work, he called me to say that he's raised my rates starting the 1st "because you do so much and we appreciate your work and I knew you wouldn't ask." I take back every mean thing I've thought about him (and there have been a few).

Deena! I'm so glad the physical therapy is helping. And yay for your client. Some clients are wonderful (most of the time). My main client tells me I'm not charging enough

Yay, Deena! That makes me so happy. Also, well paid project and increased rate.

{{{Deena}}} Just 'cause. I miss you! But glad to hear you're doing well without us. I'm trying to be brave!
