When you look back at this, in the three seconds it'll take you to turn to dust, I think you'll find the mistake was touching my stuff.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

"medical emergency" at the Davis Square T stop on Wednesday, that caused my train to be abandoned at Harvard Square

Oh, Nora, I'm so sorry this was someone you knew, even in passing.

I was on the T, too, when that happened; my train was abandoned at Central, but in a unique plan by our friends at the MBTA, the shuttle buses began at Harvard (for the non-Somervillains--that's one stop further down the line in the direction I was going). My conversation with the local T guy went something like this: "Get off here!" "OK. I need to go to Davis." "The shuttle starts at Harvard." "But we're in Central now!" "Oh well."

What is even happening?

Oh Nora, that's just awful.

Glad to hear it - it just totally came to me during the "intervention" moments, but I was so far behind at that point that I was worried I'd never find an appropriate time to post it.
Frank, I can hear John Lovitz saying, "Slap my ass and call me Judy." Do you know--was it from his guest appearance on Friends, or something else? I don't think I ever watched much Lovitz, except on SNL.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh, Nora, I'm so sorry this was someone you knew, even in passing.

Yes, I just got confirmation that this was the same person. Not that I was too doubtful, I mean how many emergencies were there on the subway last week? I feel like, I don't know, if I'd left the office when I was supposed to, maybe I would have run into him and chatted with him and... jeez, I don't know, then he'd have gone and done it anyway. He is alive though, that's what I've heard.

I've heard that his SO wants to keep it quiet, but I don't know how exactly that's going to happen. I mean, we were passing by people outside the Someday Cafe after watching the movie last night and I overheard someone talking about it.

Also, a weird parallel between last week's tragedy in LA. Thankfully nobody died as a result of the Red Line incident.

How did you get to Somerville, Jen? I was kicking myself for not taking the 85 from Kendall that day, but I wanted to treat myself to Indian food.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Happy birthday, Anne!

Nora, I'm so sorry. How scary. I hope he'll be ok and get some help. And you're right, thank goodness no one else was hurt.

Happy Birthday, Anne!

I am SO sore from shoveling out my car yesterday. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to move today. Craziness.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Mornina, all. Just a quick drive-by. I'm either getting a cold, or my body is freaking out because I'm quitting smoking...or both. It's fun.

Does anyone have the Orb? Becuase I've forgotten what it looks like and it's kinda depressing. Bleargh.

Mmmm. Hot tea with lemon. Ambrosia. Buttered toast -- also good.

All right -- back to the salt mine! See you later.

We've got it. Hopefully it's gonna melt some of the snow! Feel better, though, girl.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Timelies!

My roommate is gone for two days, and I've got them both off from work. And I have coffee. Life is good.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Timelies. I have no coffee. Or pancakes. Or people with whom to have pancakes. I do, however, have Kashi GoLean blueberry waffles. And a strange need to construct sentences awkwardly in order to not end with a preposition. Neither of these quite compensate for the lack of other stuff.
