I really need to be working on my paper. I'm not, though. Not really, at least. Every couple of minutes I flip over to it, add a couple of words, then come back to the Internet. I need to just buckle down and do it. I'd go to the coffee shop, where I have no Internet access, but it's a Saturday morning, so it's gonna be PACKED. Grrrr...I hate it when I do this.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
vw, was she ill for some time?
Cashmere, I was thinking about your roof when I was in the shower. I meant to ask if that was from ice dams. We have little leaks, all over, right now. We're trying to find a way to collect the water in the attic, to spare what we can of the ceilings, and walls. I'm going to call the man who owns our insurance agency on Monday, and talk to him--see what he has to say about the company through which he insures us.
Scott's seen a couple of TV news consumer segments, saying that after people submit claims on their homeowner's insurance, they either find their premiums rising or find themselves unisurable. Since the roof wasn't new in the first place, I want to make sure if we submit a claim (if it's even covered) that it's not going to screw us.
Well STACK MY CATS and call me Cindy!!!
Frankenbuddha, I so must tag this! Please? Unless Cindy wants it.You know I do, or rather, I totally would, but it feels funny to put my own name in my tag, so please do Cashmere (assuming it's okay with Frank), because right now, it's stuck in NaTLBSB land.
I submitted a minor shingling claim (only a section of the roof) after a bad storm a couple of years ago. I believe my premiums were not raised.

vw, was she ill for some time?
She was diagnosed with stage three pancreatic cancer in August. So, yeah, she was ill for a while.
She was so young, though. It just doesn't seem fair.
Click and Clack are talking about the east coast snowstorm on Car Talk.
heh.
Ray's wife (on phone): Ray, you're an idiot!
It just doesn't seem fair.
