So I've been e-mailing back and forth with my science news editor. He asked if I were interested in doing a story on nanoparticles, since there was a recent story on the UM homepage about nanoparticle stuff. But also, one of the science writers works in the lab of someone who's also doing nanoparticle stuff, so he thought we could make it a big feature.
I asked him whether he wanted one story, or did he want a page, with me doing one story and the other guy doing the story on his professor.
Well, the other guy can't do that one since it'd be a conflict of interest, of course.
So I was like, okay, it might take a while. And here's another nanotechnology thing happening at UM. So either I can write one huge story which will take me some time, or you can have three of us do a story each and make a page out of it.
Yea, make a big story! But we don't need it anytime soon. I would get other reporters involved but they are tackleing other stories and I don't know how interested or how well they could handle it.
All he's seen from me is the COX-2 story, and now I'm the go-to guy for biotype stuff. Rock.
The pictures are wonderful - beathen is foamy, P-C indeed has a splendid smile, Aimee's aglow, MM's all full of wonderment, vw and Emily are so obviously in love with Emeline (and my God, Emily is all glowy and healthy-looking and has actual roses in her cheeks!), and E. herself is just... ohhhh.
Yes, P-C, that is what I do all. day. long. And it's impossible to do without a foot pedal. Please don't ever try again.
And now, back to my own foot pedal.
All he's seen from me is the COX-2 story, and now I'm the go-to guy for biotype stuff
t sniff
Gosh, and we knew him when.
Gosh, and we knew him when.
Heh. He's like, "You wanna do this? You wanna do this?" And I'm like, "AAAUGH! I have a thesis to write!"
And I'm like, "AAAUGH! I have a thesis to write!"
That's our little multi-tasker!
The face-sidedness is tied to handed-ness, from what I've read. If you're right handed, the left side of your face will show more or less who you were born as, with added maturity. The right side will show more tension, reflect the effort of will, the action of conflicting emotions on the facial muscles and skin. The opposite is true, obviously, if you're left-handed. The side of your face that isn't your dominant side will be more relaxed, the dominant side will show more affect by emotions over time.
ETA: Some experts call this character vs. personality. The non-dominant side shows a person's innate character, the dominant side shows the personality they've developed.
Is this also related to the dominant eye? If that's true than I am one odd person (not like you didn't already know) because I'm right handed but my left eye is the dominant one.
No, I think the eyes are on a different system. It's more likely they're tied into brain dominance, which is the reverse of body-side dominance. I.E., if the right hemisphere of your brain is dominant you'll be left-handed. And footed.
