Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Rock, indeed, P-C.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

The face-sidedness is tied to handed-ness, from what I've read. If you're right handed, the left side of your face will show more or less who you were born as, with added maturity. The right side will show more tension, reflect the effort of will, the action of conflicting emotions on the facial muscles and skin. The opposite is true, obviously, if you're left-handed. The side of your face that isn't your dominant side will be more relaxed, the dominant side will show more affect by emotions over time.

ETA: Some experts call this character vs. personality. The non-dominant side shows a person's innate character, the dominant side shows the personality they've developed.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Is this also related to the dominant eye? If that's true than I am one odd person (not like you didn't already know) because I'm right handed but my left eye is the dominant one.

No, I think the eyes are on a different system. It's more likely they're tied into brain dominance, which is the reverse of body-side dominance. I.E., if the right hemisphere of your brain is dominant you'll be left-handed. And footed.

The eyes are reversed, too. Your right optic nerve connects to your left brain and vice versa.

Hmm. Then is the question of which eye has the better vision solely a visual matter? Because I know right-handed people like beathen whose left eye is "dominant," if we're calling better-visioned dominant.

Aaaand, I have to run away for erranding now, so I can't continue this now. Later on, if you guys haven't solved it by then.

Better visioned isn't dominant. Dominant eye is just the eye that focuses most directly on an object.

I understood that the left side of your field of view from both eyes went to the right hemisphere and vice-versa.

What is even happening?

I have no vision left, as I just made it to level 17, cat stacking (200,700).

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

If you want to know which eye is dominant, with both eyes open, focus so that your finger appears to be covering an object in the distance. Close one eye. If the finger doesn't appear to move, the open eye is your dominant eye. There is some speculation that people with cross-dominance, i.e., right handed and left eyed, are more clumsy.
