I walk. I talk. I shop, I sneeze. I'm gonna be a fireman when the floods roll back. There's trees in the desert since you moved out. And I don't sleep on a bed of bones.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If I only had a brain...

Does anybody know? Are there neo-Mithraists?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Why yes, yes he does. Plus he keeps a fish whomper (a short, fat aluminium bat) next to his desk.
Fish whomper! Hee!

Oops, x-posty cause I forgot to refresh...

WindSparrow has a new tag.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

is the director Zach your Zach?

Yup. It's a fun little skit.

Betsy - I have no idea, but why do you want to know about Neo-Mithraists?

We were talking about Mithraism and Xianity in Literary. I think she wrong-threaded.

But, anyone?

If I only had a brain...

Actually, I decided Mithraism belonged in Bitches rather than Literary. Don't ask me why.

I was curious, because Mithraism was a mystery religion, which means that nobody knows what exactly they believed. I wondered if people were trying to revive it in spite of that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mithraism was an offshoot of Zoroastrianism, right? With Mithra getting born from a stone in a manger or something? (eta: ALso something abotu bulls, but who wasn't into bulls?)I haven't heard of any modern revivals, but I probably wouldn't.

My bad.

And...Modern Mithraism

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Pretty, juliana! Did you do the make-up and wardrobe?

JZ is a knockout in the pic. Believe me when I say it was 100 times more powerful in person. This year's Prom proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Mithraism used to be thought to be of Persian origin, but that theory's been disputed of late. It had something to do with bull sacrifice. We know this because there are a whole bunch of mithraeums underground, and they all have pictures of this guy killing a bull.
