I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

bt, I'm so sorry and I deeply sympathize on the foot pain. I think they make special socks that you can wear at night that stretch your tendons out. You want I see if I can find them, or has that already been looked at as an option?

Timelies.

PC, if you would be so kind as to pass by my tag changes, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

billytea, plantar fasciitis sucks.

Boy, was that helpful, or what? When I had it, I stretched a LOT. And that's about it. I didn't notice it speeding my recovery. Oh, and I bitched about it a lot, too. Which also didn't help.

Me too. Also wore sneakers non stop. Still doing so. I am convinved this new foot pain stems from the fact that I am wearing (still sturdy, flat and comfortable) waterproof shoes and boots, due to winter.

Eek! Thanks for the link, Nora.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm glad you found housing, Billytea. J'm sorry your foot problems are getting worse.

What is even happening?

My mother had that plantar fasciitis. My sister-in-law had it while pregnant, as if pregnancy isn't fun enough. My sympathies. I know from them how terribly uncomfortable it can be.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, properly fitting shoes are a huge part of dealing with plantar's.

Yeah, properly fitting shoes are a huge part of dealing with plantar's.

There's a great running shoe store in the area, called Boston Marathon Sports. I went in and said I had PF and they hooked me up. They're a really great resource anyway. They have you take off your shoes and watch you walk, so they can see if you lean in or out, and recommend shoes based on suporting the way you walk. Also, they tell you to go outside and run/walk on the sidewalk, to see how they feel on that surface.

Oh, my, I'm babbling today. It's so quiet here at the office!

Because books.

Timelies all. No school here today, which seems like a good thing -- the roads are still really icy and a lot of them are still snow-covered.

{{{billytea}} PF sucks. I have it in one foot, and it comes and goes. What's weird is that it was gone all summer, and it's been back since fall. I had heard you were supposed to wear a short heel, like one inch, but I'm thinking maybe not, since a lot of my fall boots have one- or two-inch heels, and now it's back. Having it in both feet must be excruciating.

I had the plantar fasciitis many moons ago, and my doc recommended orthotic inserts - these were custom made. Took a few weeks to a month for things to really stop hurting, but stop hurting it did - they worked great and I still use the orthotics (well, I've replaced them a few times). That might be worth looking into - the cost may be covered by health insurance (cause the custom made ones are expensive, $400.00 Canadian the last time I replaced them).
