Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
but the thing that weirds me a little (and yet, I do it myself sometimes) is if someone I know in real life starts reading it, and I don't know.
Yeah. There's someone that I met last year, and we were exchanging contact info, and I wrote down my email address, and asked "Do you have IM?" and she said, "No, but do you have a livejournal?" And I didn't really think about it, and wrote it down. And now I see her a lot more often than I did then, and I'm really careful about friendslocking anything that mentions anyone that she knows. (Actually, I usually try to friendslock anything that mentions any other specific person, even if it's not by name.)
Does he really want to be known as Gold-Rimmed Limited Edition
Collector Teacup Guy?
Only on the board.
Well, that's good, because it would be a little awkward in other situations.
"Harder, Gold-Rimmed Limited Edition Collector Teacup Guy!"
(Also....damn. That's a lot of money saved. I'm never gonna afford a house, am I?)
Well, it's pretty much all Tom, though I have an IRA and a 401(k) to borrow against. He has a significant 401(k) plan and savings. I brought the exciting debt into the marriage (which is almost gone now, yay!)
Jen, yes, I would love the name of your mortgage broker. We went to our bank already and they told us that we could do 10%, and get a soft 2nd mortgage for an additional 10% to do an end run around the PMI, and the 2nd mortgage would also be tax deductible, so at least it's not money totally down the drain.
Trudy, I like the way you think. I may very well bring them a pie. Or try to run into them, at least. I haven't seen them for a while, but we are friendly.
Mmmmmm, PIE.
Stupid glycemic index. Stupid sugar. Stupid carbs.
MMMMM, carbs.
fearing strangers reading me isn't what really makes me friendslock every post except random fandom babblings or memes, it's that people i know can read them. i've friendslocked since i started using lj 4 years ago or so. i like knowing that the people i've selected to read are the only ones to do so. well...unless someone gets copy/paste happy, which i've also had happen to me before.
i'm lurking in the literati room because i've never seen it played, but i can't see anything that's happeneing.

Tom made an awesome crumble with frozen peaches, frozen blueberries, and the crumble, which was whole wheat flour, almond meal, some very dark molasses sugar (a little goes a long way), and slivered almonds. It was awesome! And not really bad carby, so much. Not to eat every day, but for pie... pretty good. and it tasted great too.
Does anyone have any great ideas for low-carb food to bring onto a plane? (So, ideally wouldn't need refrigeration, or take up tons of room or need prep, etc). I'm flying to England on Tuesday, so I'll be in the air awhile, and know that my usual "mmm, junior mints!" won't cut it. (I'm going to start Phase 2 of South Beach on Monday, so they don't have to be NO carb, just low).

Hit the "Kibitz" button, and you can see everyone's tiles.
meara- nuts. almonds, cashews, macadamias, whatever is your favorites. seeds too. since you're starting phase 2 soon, then even a piece of fruit would be good- an apple, an orange. That way, you have salty and sweet.
OK, going to bed.
Are you allowed almonds or other nuts, meara? Maybe some trail mix type of thing? What about fruit? Apples are also good for planes.
You know what's kind of funny? Since yesterday's chiro appointment, I've been sitting on my exercise ball, and the cats are going nuts trying to figure out how they can sit on my lap.
