Joyce: You don't think it's too obvious? I think I look like I have a cat on my head. Buffy: But a very well groomed cat. Joyce: Well that's a comfort.

Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

3 degrees on the coast, even if the wind is the same speed as it is inland, feels way more cold than the same temperature and wind, just a few miles inland.

It also seems to be colder when the air is drier. I hate it when I walk outside and the mucus in my nose instantly freezes.

What is even happening?

Oh, I hate that too beathen. Sometimes, I get pain in my sinuses, just by walking out the door.

For me though, near the ocean, it's just bone penetrating, even if the wind chill factor is the same.

I can't even.

Phoenix ate my post. Grr.

C-c-c-cold here today, even for us. (-35C is getting down where C and F meet, and I suppose M) BigBoss wants to go for coffee, so I'll just post this bit from Neil Gaiman's blog about TiVo and catch up shortly:

many years later, I have a DVR TIVO thing. It's wonderful. It automatically records things that I think I might one day want to watch, while also, just to be helpful, recording things it thinks I might want to watch but I don't. And then – and this is the good bit – I don't watch any of them. But I no longer have the vague feeling that I'm missing out on things. Tivo: it's watching TV so I don't have to...

The status is NOT quo.

Although I will say that often times, living in a coastal town, the temprature can be 5 to even 10 degrees WARMER than inland, since the Ocean keeps the temprature up sometimes. If the cold is coming OFF the Ocean, however, it's a moot point.

eta, it's amazing once you start hitting the extremes (hot or cold) what a difference 5 to 10 degrees can make.

The status is NOT quo.

The thing is, though, even when it is 10-15 degrees warmer, the wind makes it feel the same temp.

Wouldn't give up my ocean, though.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I went outside. Brrr. But not unbearably so. The worst feeling cold waits until its dark.

Also, I just chopped a credit card right in half. Pats self on back.

ETA:

Wouldn't give up my ocean, though.

This.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I won't say what the temperature is here. I'll just mention that I don't need a coat.

Which is good, because all my clothes, including my coats, are now too tight. Good thing I didn't clear out my closet when I lost weight.

I wish I had one. Lake Michigan just doesn't cut it.

Always Anti-fascist!

Polter, am quite excited by the casting spoiler in re VM. That should be fun...I'm barely even trying to keep up with natter anymore, but I did get that far.
