Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Jeeze, Nonian! Where are you guys?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I am here, but I feel weird posting because I haven't been able to keep up at all lately and I hate just jumping in to the middle of things.

Trust my rage

This is in Wake County which I think is north of here, but not too far (Raleigh-Durham).

I can't imagine saying "well, it's sort of icy. I'm going to leave my 8 year old at school tonight."

ETA: People in NC, when you don't know their city, then tell you their county. This never helps me since I only know the counties I drive through every day.

Now tagless for your comfort.

So, it's 10:00 pm here and children are still stuck at school due to the weather. Kids will be spending the night and their teachers have to stay with the kids who aren't picked up.

Wow.

I am still at work. And will be for a few hours yet. I'm feeling less sick, so the experience of overtime while sick, is shifting away from shrift and over to just the terminally overworked Gud.

Poor Hec.

I felt bad for pulling DH away from work today to help with the baby. This cold just won't go away and the baby was up every 2-3 hours last night. With no sleep and the effect of cold medicine, I just couldn't do it on my own. He only gets 3 family sick days a year--but when he does stuff like this, it only means he'll have to go in over the weekend to make up work that he should have got done instead of coming home.

Jump in! We just had an evening shift change.

The status is NOT quo.

Nonian, that is insane!

Kids will be spending the night and their teachers have to stay with the kids who aren't picked up.

I've had this nightmare.

Hugs and hair pats to those who need them. I'm not really here, I just needed a couple minute sanity break from the grading marathon.

Liar pants. You are totally here. If you would just admit you were here, I'd share my lime merengue tart with you.

Oh I so want a lime merengue tart.

What if I bat my eyes winningly?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Jilli, Cash, I wish there was something I could do for either of you.

In fact, if there is anything I can do for either of you, please don't hesitate to call, email, or fling a paper airplane at me. I adore you both, and hope everything works out okay.

I like this, so I'ma gonna steal it, and use it for my very own.

I have a lemon hazelnut tort thing waiting for me at home. Now all I need to do is figure out how to get there.
