You'll like it, I think. It's got a lot of the same spirit of the first book, with some really moving little bits.

I adore Pratchett. Well, I adore His Grace Sir Samuel Vimes, Commander of the City Watch of Ankh-Morpork. Watching him go from Captain Vimes to Duke of Ankh-Morpork has been oodles of fun. As Vetinari's clerk said, "My lord, if you didn't have Captain Vimes, you would have to invent him." "Drumknott, what makes you think I didn't?"

I don't do Pratchett but I enjoyed Gaiman's Neverwhere tremendously. Reading American Gods now and struggling, sadly. I don't think it is for me. I have Will Shetterly's Chimera to read before Friday.

I couldn't make it through American Gods and I loved Neverwhere. I also love Pratchett.

Timelies. Yeah, a little late in the day. Aidan had therapy today. It went very well, though he was exhausted by the end. Figuring out which shape goes in which hole is hard work.

Yeah, gut-churningly so. I hate expressing opinions that differ at all from those of the Cool, Hip People, and I'm terrified of coming off as a scold or a censor. But I waste so much energy writing long posts about things I'm thinking about and then deciding nobody wants to hear them and deleting them that it makes me mad. Waste of my time and energy, and since I try to be all supportive and warm towards everyone else's sharing of uncomfortable stuff it began to seem emotionally stingy of me to be deleting myself all the time.
