This is true, and is also true of its sequel Hat Full of Sky.
Which we don't own, because Paul was/is waiting for the paperback.
'War Stories'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You'll like it, I think. It's got a lot of the same spirit of the first book, with some really moving little bits.
BTW, Plei--I e-mailed you earlier, but then realized I have, like, three e-mail addresses for you. Did things get to you OK?
I adore Pratchett. Well, I adore His Grace Sir Samuel Vimes, Commander of the City Watch of Ankh-Morpork. Watching him go from Captain Vimes to Duke of Ankh-Morpork has been oodles of fun. As Vetinari's clerk said, "My lord, if you didn't have Captain Vimes, you would have to invent him." "Drumknott, what makes you think I didn't?"
t giddy with Vetinari-Vimes lurve
Not much of a fan of Carrot. He bothers me.
I don't do Pratchett but I enjoyed Gaiman's Neverwhere tremendously. Reading American Gods now and struggling, sadly. I don't think it is for me. I have Will Shetterly's Chimera to read before Friday.
I couldn't make it through American Gods and I loved Neverwhere. I also love Pratchett.
JZ, thanks. I'm sure that was hard to post.
Much health and strength ~ma for Jilli's friends.
Health~ma to your mom, Cashmere, and peace to you. My brother used to do what she's been doing. I hope she starts taking better care of herself.
Timelies. Yeah, a little late in the day. Aidan had therapy today. It went very well, though he was exhausted by the end. Figuring out which shape goes in which hole is hard work.
I'm sure that was hard to post.
Yeah, gut-churningly so. I hate expressing opinions that differ at all from those of the Cool, Hip People, and I'm terrified of coming off as a scold or a censor. But I waste so much energy writing long posts about things I'm thinking about and then deciding nobody wants to hear them and deleting them that it makes me mad. Waste of my time and energy, and since I try to be all supportive and warm towards everyone else's sharing of uncomfortable stuff it began to seem emotionally stingy of me to be deleting myself all the time.
But, yeah. Guhchh.
Cashmere, I'm so glad that your mom is stable and doing okay for the moment. Continued -ma to her and you.
I adore His Grace Sir Samuel Vimes, Commander of the City Watch of Ankh-Morpork.
Ditto. This discussion is making me want to get back to work on my Discworld/SG1 crossover.
Yes! Anne, if it helps, I will talk about it more. I really want you to be writing on it too... though not to the detriment of the house painting/selling/moving agenda. Damn. I want that fic.
Ahem, anyway.
{{JZ}} Yes. I'm very glad you posted it. I would hug you in person were you here or I there, which is (either one) a stunningly attractive idea after the children's activities today.
Oh, JZ, you know nothing offends me (just about -- kiddie and animal porn is strictly verboten). But being mad because something is offensive to you and you say so, in the nicest sweetest "our opinions differ, but we're still friends" way?
Don't let it pop an air bubble in your bloomers. I have no wild passionate feelings about the need to use religious idols as sex toys, so I'm not fretting about your squick.
Love you, dollface.
I totally understand and sympathize with both your feelings on the subject, and how difficult it is to post said feelings, JZ. And that goes fro everyone else who feels the same way as JZ.
That being said, I also totally support people's ability to still post and talk about anything they want to post or talk about around here.
If I can say that without coming across as an insensitive asshat.
