Heh. What names have you chosen? I do remember you telling at one point, but it's gone gone gone, because I love the "Princess Ticky Box" one so much.
Lillian Elizabeth.
Lillian Elinor has been considered, but we are leaning towards Elizabeth.
I remember that, and my pregnancies were less complicated, so I can't even imagine how often (and with how much urgency) you get that.
Whenever they see me. And, of course, my answer remains, "Fine." I dislike having people ask me about my health and well being in that way. It makes me uncomfortable. If there is a change in status, they will be informed. No need to pry.
Oh! I don't know how I forgot Lillian Elizabeth. So beautiful.

I don't know if you can do it, or if you can, whether or not it will work for you, but maybe you could pretend to hear them saying "we love you" instead of the words they're actually saying?
I've had no complications, but I think I hear this almost every day. I assume people are saying "I acknowledge you are pregnant so basically I'm just syaing 'how's it going" but sometimes I think they really want to know - especially the women who were pregnant recently. I'm never too sure what to say, so usually I just say "I'm doing fine" and maybe fill them in on the latest if I know them well enough.
There's casual, "How are you feeling?", and then there's the pointed way that my MiL and her mother ask it, which is code for, "Are you keeping that baby safe, young lady???" or something.
My mother, bless her, doesn't ask. Mainly because she gets me calling and asking her how to deal with standard pregnancy aches and pains. (And usually, her advice is along the lines of, "I remember that! There's really not much you can do, except try to change positions or maybe ice it.")
Timelies. ::yawn::
Lillian Elizabeth is a lovely name, Plei.
Did anyone mention the Home Office spy investigating the heroine or otherwise forced to protect her in the course of his mission? That's a pretty standard Regency plot now.
I hate outlines. I always have to outline in advance, because my publisher does cover copy waaaay in advance, and then you're really screwed if you veer too far from it. I like a loose end goal when I'm writing fiction, and then figuring out how I'm getting there as I go.
It snowed, a light powdery dusting that's enough to be annoying on the bottoms of shoes but not enough for the kids to play in, since they have the day off. Bummer.

Seconded.
I'm not sure how to outline this. It seems like there's not enough material for some areas but a whole bunch in others. I think I may put together a few and see which one he thinks will work best.

That would be just as annoying. It's partly a cultural difference, I think. My family is blunt and lacking in couth, but we're ultimately very private unless we choose to share. Thou shall not pry is sort of rule one.
I love that name, Plei. (I actually know a little three year old named Lillian, after her grandma).

We (by which I mainly mean Paul, as I already knew my family hadn't a single decent on in the bunch) made a half-hearted look through the family tree for names after basically settling on Lillian, but found a serious shortage of tolerable names on both sides.
My mother's middle name is Lillian, after one of her grandmothers. I'm rather partial to the hispanic variation Liliana. I'm also rather partial to Robin for a first name for a girl.
