Timelies. ::yawn::
Lillian Elizabeth is a lovely name, Plei.
Did anyone mention the Home Office spy investigating the heroine or otherwise forced to protect her in the course of his mission? That's a pretty standard Regency plot now.
I hate outlines. I always have to outline in advance, because my publisher does cover copy waaaay in advance, and then you're really screwed if you veer too far from it. I like a loose end goal when I'm writing fiction, and then figuring out how I'm getting there as I go.
It snowed, a light powdery dusting that's enough to be annoying on the bottoms of shoes but not enough for the kids to play in, since they have the day off. Bummer.

Seconded.
I'm not sure how to outline this. It seems like there's not enough material for some areas but a whole bunch in others. I think I may put together a few and see which one he thinks will work best.
I don't know if you can do it, or if you can, whether or not it will work for you, but maybe you could pretend to hear them saying "we love you" instead of the words they're actually saying?
That would be just as annoying. It's partly a cultural difference, I think. My family is blunt and lacking in couth, but we're ultimately very private unless we choose to share. Thou shall not pry is sort of rule one.
I love that name, Plei. (I actually know a little three year old named Lillian, after her grandma).

We (by which I mainly mean Paul, as I already knew my family hadn't a single decent on in the bunch) made a half-hearted look through the family tree for names after basically settling on Lillian, but found a serious shortage of tolerable names on both sides.
My mother's middle name is Lillian, after one of her grandmothers. I'm rather partial to the hispanic variation Liliana. I'm also rather partial to Robin for a first name for a girl.
Lillian is a
gorgeous
name. It reminds me of Lillian Gish, and all those beauties from the '20s.
I really like Lillian Elizabeth. It rolls elegantly off the tongue.

Joining in on the love for Princess Tickybox's actual name.
