Yeah. Part of the Special Person tax...much more subtle than DWB. And don't get me started on the cab companies that want an extra $25.00 just to press a lift button. No, really don't. Unless you *dig* blistering rants andmaligning strangers' parentage.
'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'
Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Crap. I emailed the office, and the Director was the guy to address it to. They've also started interviewing. I'm going to have to get my stuff together and send as is, stat.
Dear Lord, erika, that's just... The fuck? Are these companies run by actual human beings? That's appalling.
Evil transport people. May they all have surgeries that force them to spend some time in wheelchairs.
By the way, Noah? Your Ark is in our company's parking lot, please get it out of there, the other boats can't get by. It's vampire-friendly levels of dark outside, and it should rain until it starts snowing again on Wednesday. Then the sun comes out and the temperature plummets. Winter in Utah.
Fellow geek! Do you have a green wool Irish walking cape to wear yours on?
I don't, I think that would be perfect. I wear it on a black leather jacket, which gets some attention, but it is usually the borderline geeks who comment. Serious geeks make eye contact and give a little knowing smile, but the "is that ... the pin?" comments are the most fun.
I'd love the Evenstar necklace.
I had to have the Fellowship pin. The phenomenon will pass, and stuff like that will become impossible to get again. The Evenstar I had to buy, even as a gift.
What I'd really like? Either the Elrond or the Galadriel tiara!
Hee. Those would be fun. I was just thinking that the occasions I'd have to wear something like that would be fairly limited, but of course that's not true.
erika, what in bleeding hell? Sic the Civil Liberties people on these assheads. Evil, and unacceptable.
Connie, as it happens, I have no puritan ancestors. I have no ancestors at all that would chide me for the occasional perks that are a result of the (believe it or not) extremely hard work I do as a writer. And if I did happen to have those ancestors, I'd tell them to blow me.
Emily, you think you had it rough with the Mike Wallace cluelessness? They stuck the earpiece in just as he started babbling on about what a wonderfully strong president Reagan had been. Erika the producer said, can you hear her talking to you? and I said, I WISH. All I hear is $%$%$% REAGAN crap.
Coasting on highs and lows of energy.
I'm not saying you don't work hard, Deb, I'm just saying I can't see any bag being worth $500.
Haven't read it yet, but there is a great picture!
Holy shit!!!! Deb looks SO GOOD!!!
Forwarded the link to the article to several of Deb's local fans. Heh.
JS, I'd love the Galdalf, Saruman and Rohan brooch pins thingies, too, as well as both the Arwen brooches, just because the level of design is so incredibly high.
Oops, appt. Must run. Laters, loves.
Yes, I am glimpsed in the tape, twice. I am standing on the end next to Graham, the colorist. Nic is at one end of the line and I am at the other end.
I got to dance with Evangelista and hug him too. Also, we told him about Utlikilts. Sad man had never heard of them. We are evillllll. (heh heh)
He was very pleased to find out we liked his Wickedly Perfect show. He started to give me a clue about the next show, but then thought better of it. (darn)
Yes, Deb looked wonderful. I adore the hair color. In the past I have liked the slightly burgundy look, but this warm chestnut is really great. Brings out her glow.
