DH has some ideas about the washer. let's hope he can fix it.... I don't want to buy a washing mashine. a new bathtub would be more fun. a new dishwasher - not so much, but still better than a washer. slate for the bathroom floor, wood for the new vanity -- those would be fun things...

Washing machine~ma, got it. Ours fills up with water when it rains and leaks all over the floor with the slightest provocation, but continues to get clothes clean and is owned by the landlord, so is unlikely to be replaced anytime soon.
Appropriate changes have been made in my ~ma distribution network.
