Now tagless for your comfort.

Betsy, I'm sorry. I hope they find your friend safe and sound.

I am, unfortunately, catless due to the extreme fees my apartment complex puts on owning pets ($250 non-refundable deposit + $20/month). Stupid apartment rules.

Our old apartment had a $300 pet FEE (non refundable) a $300 pet DEPOSIT (refundable if no major damage to the carpet) and $15 a month additional rent PER PET. Our only official pet at that point was Mac the dog.

information libertarian

I strongly encourage anyone who is pregnant or even TRYING to become so to check out day care centers ASAP. In some areas (i.e. mine), you have to get on waiting lists for the best centers BEFORE the child is CONCEIVED to get a spot. Eve is on the wait list for the on-campus facility, and is about 25th down right now, after having been on the wait list for 14 months.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Betsy, good thoughts for your friend. I hope they find him soon, safe and sound.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

And I thought my apartment rules were bad.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Skipping over a bunch of posts to be a little annoying. Please indulge me. The guy I am seeing is so very sweet. He brought me a teacup last night for a second date because he noticed that I collected them when he was in my apartment for our first date. It is a gorgeous teacup and such a super sweet gesture.

The member services person I'm talking to right now at BCBS has decided that it's appropriate to call me "Val." It's making me more and more annoyed each time he does it.

Sadly, that really only works if you have a steady job. I mean, I guess we could wait list and then pass it up if I haven't found anything, but...

I know the feeling. Whenever I introduce myself to someone I always use my full name becuase that's what I like to be called. Shortening it without asking is a definate faux pas. I correct them immediately. If, after they say my name wrong multiple times, I ignore them until they get it right.

It's one of my pet peeves. Friends and family can call me Val, but if you've just met me, don't you dare cut it down without asking!

I can't be too mad at the guy, though. He just got authorization for 8 transitional appointments with my therapist. So, I don't have to stop seeing her immediately. Although, I do have to start looking for a new therapist right away. Grrrrrr...
