I'm sorry. You were going to ask me to choose, right? Did you want to finish?

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Meara-ing to start, I mean, continue the day...

totally off the beaten track

Every time I read this I read it as "totally off the beat bh en track". I had to do a double take.

I want to go thrift store shopping.

OMG that sounds awesome right about now. Sometimes I can find the coolest clothes at the thrift store or salvation army

vw paid off her car

Congratulations!

Is there a word for Buffista addiction?

I think the term "Buffista" speaks for itself.

Congratulations on the tatoo, Kristin.

That's a beautiful symbol. I've thought about getting a tattoo many times but I haven't found a picture/symbol that I liked enough to get it permanently affixed to my body.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Okay, I had a dream last night that one of you was pregnant.

Not it.

Hello, Bells, and welcome!

...

...

Nope, I got nothin'. The insomnia fairy did *not* visit last night, but that just means I got enough sleep to realize how horribly sleep-deprived I really am. There was a brief flurry of very wet snow by where I work, which means when it's tme for me to head for the bus tonight, it will be all icy and slippery, oh yay. I still would like a nap, some hot cocoa, and to be taken thrift store shopping. And then perhaps another nap, and a really good meal, and then lounge around drinking absinthe. I do *not* want to be at work, staring at tech help topics.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm going to get a tattoo over my surgery scar (that picture's about a year old, so I'm sure the scar is faded even more now) some time this spring.

I used to think I wanted a tattoo right over the scar, to obscure it, but it's faded so well, I'm starting to think I'd rather get something decorative on the sides of the scar, like the Man Ray cello scrolls.

But I'm open to suggestions, please, because I haven't decided on a design yet.

Because books.

Okay, I had a dream last night that one of you was pregnant.

Not me, either, for the record.

Cindy, I don't know how to process Andrea Yates, either -- I have a similar pile in my head. This is why I like to say fiction is often so much better than life.

I think you should get some form of tiny wings, because little angel or devil wings on either side of the scar would be very cool. Tho' I do like the Man Ray cello scrolls.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I love the cello scrolls. I also love the idea of flames or crackles of energy coming out of the tat. The wings idea rocks, as well.

brillig

I used to think I wanted a tattoo right over the scar

I wish I had a scanner or a link to the picture, but I have a postcard of a nude woman holding her arms wide and grinning at the sky, with a beautiful dragon tattoo over her mastectomy scar. The most empowering fucking picture I have ever seen.

Oh, and unless the Goddess of Chaos has decided to massively piss off one of her faithful, I'm not It (preggers) either. No, wait. Because of last week I *know* I'm not. I didn't go through those cramps for nuthin.

(I said this in my LJ) -- since I'm a writer, I would get a really cool tat of a fountain pen with a swell nib (no inkwell, though, and no feather on the pen), *except* the scar is so freaking low that it would look like I have a pen sticking out of my ass. And that's not the look I'm going for.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Also not it.

I said hi in Natter, Bells, but welcome, again.

Yeesh to all the snow upcountry. Safe driving, to those that must. Warm clothes, steaming baths and showers, and soft comfy clothes to those who arrive after having driven.

Feelbetter-ma to Deena's back.

Tep, I like the idea of flames or wings, too. The cello scrolls are pretty, but...inert. And you've been energized since the surgery. The tat should show that, I think.
