Wish me car~ma. I'm out to see if the car will start or if'n I'm going to have to call AAA. (Here's hoping my membership is still up to date, too!)
ETA: Well, she started right up. Still got the service engine light, though. Guess I'll have to take her in to get looked at on the way home. I'll see all you lovely Bitches later!
what do you take for dizziness? Is it Antivert? I think some of my anxiety has been caused by sinus-induced dizziness. I feel all lurchy and then I panic.
Yep. Meclizine is the generic. About 8 years ago, I had an EXTREME case of vertigo. I couldn't even roll over in bed witout throwing up. The doc never quite figured out what did it, but I think it was related to either TMJ /and or sinus issues. I also am taking some Tylenol Sinus with it (and possibly the combination of this stuff is what's making me feel draggy. I'm tired, but not overwhelmingly so. Better that and be able to stand up.
Yeah, snow days aren't nearly as much fun when you're an adult. I'll take snow over freezing rain, any day. But that means we're getting nasty freezing rain here today. And yesterday and the day before. And more tomorrow. We're flooding out (not us, but here in town flooding is a serious issue). Bleh.
It worked, Cash! See my edit :)
There is a lot of snow out there. A lot.
I knew there was something I forgot last night - Welcome Bell!
Sail, if your car recently hit one of the big round numbers on your odometer (say, 30,000 or the like), it is possible that the check engine light came on to remind of routine "maintenance". A friend of mine bought a used 2000ish Ford Taurus station wagon, and when her cousin the dealership mechanic heard about it, he stopped by to disable the switch that causes the odometer to trip the check engine light. According to him, it was designed to get the car owner to bring it in for a "mini tune-up" that costs $50 and consists solely of resetting the switch. So if there are any major round numbers in the recent past, this is the time to take advantage of Autozone's diagnostic computer, which they will hook up to your car for free. If no round numbers, well, here's hoping it's some other simple and easy on the wallet repair.
ETA: friend is the right spelling, right? It looks so terribly wrong at god-awful-early in the morning.
By then, I'll be everyone's Crazy Aunt Lilty, and still killing fish with reckless abandon.
Hey, how is ole Cap'n Jack? Did I miss his eulogy or is his still live and floating?
Snowy day today. In Somerville (according to Tom) they are no linger forecasting the ice part, thank jebus, so I gave Tom permission to drive up to Beverly for work. (kidding- he just knew I'd be wrathful if he did drive iin icy sleet) He can easily work from home when necessary.
In a Filemaker scripting class today. whoo.
Welcome, Bells!
I don't think we have as much snow as Cindy...not yet anyway. It's coming down like crazy now, though. It's so beautiful. Of course, that's easy for me to say...not really having to be out in it and all.
Still struggling with Emily's birthday present. I need to get it ordered today. I used to be good at this stuff. Grrrrrr...
Speaking of Emily...I think I just heard Toto go join her in bed. We just walked...in the snow...he's probably drenched. Oh, and he just shook himself off! She's gonna not be happy.
Gronk. Also ow.
Welcome Bells! Give BT many hugs for us.
Le gronk. Le timelies.
Welcome, Bells!!
It's still fucking cold out there. I was feeling all sorts of homesick for the holidays in Alaska, and the weather had to go and remind me why I shouldn't be. Feh.
