sara, I totally don't mind my students falling alseep. As long as they don't snore out loud.
I had a philosophy professor who told us on the first day of classes that he didn't mind if we fell asleep in class, so long as we didn't bring in a pillow for our heads.
I was more afraid of my fellow students catching me than our professors. You never knew what you might wake up wearing or holding if you fell asleep around them/us (I managed to avoid being a victim. My friends? Not so much.)
Yuck.
Note the stealth post by the much-missed bon bon.

I'm back in my office for the first time in months and have nothing to do. I hope no one finds out.
bon bon!
Hil, I haven't posted with you in forever - how was your exam?
how was your exam?
I think it went pretty well. Haven't gotten my grade yet, though.

I had developmental vertebrate anatomy class at 8 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday in a very uncomfortable turn-of-the-century (the last century) lecture hall with wooden seats. The professor said to me one day, "I don't care what people do in my class, but how can you sleep in those seats?"
Timelies all. And a massive "Gronk!" with a side of "Thwump!"
What a wasted weekend, and not in the good way. Other than watching the Pats absolutely demolish Indy I got nothing done I had planned on (movies, laundry, packing, etc. - nada), and managed to get behind by several thousand posts here (just 'caught up here if you couldn't tell).
I don't know if it's the weather or everything I have to do to get ready to move but I was feeling seriously down in the dumps this weekend, despite taking Friday off and getting Monday as a holiday. If my long weekends are going to be like that, I'd be better off at work. To top it off, I got about 2 hours sleep total last night (not entirely unexpected after that kind of weekend).
Energy and motivation-ma would be muchly appreciated.
And now back to your regularly scheduled natter.
