I'm at that nasty point where the next day we're closed is Memorial Day.
Yeah, me too. Luckily, I have 5 weeks' worth of PTO. I foresee a few "mental health" days coming up....

I've got Presidents' Day, but not MLK. Coworkers do not, they have the long NYE to Memorial Day haul, BUT ....they have a discretionary holiday so don't feel sorry for them and besides they get 5 weeks paid vacation, rolled over and accruable up to something ridiculous like 9 months, so REALLY don't feel sorry for them.

Want!
Instead, I'll go for lunch.

This is me, as well. Bloody depressing it is.
Congrats on the raise, Heather!
I get to work from home on MLK, but we have off for the Inauguration. So it's a three-day workweek next week. Next time I'll have off is in March for Easter.

Easter Monday?
Good Friday and Easter Monday, Nora.
Is 10 holidays a year pretty standard? Because I'm wondering what we don't get off to make room for Mardi Gras. I always thought it was Memorial Day, but that's on the list this year.
State offices are officially closed on Monday, but because I work for the Lege (even though most of the Rs are going to be in DC), I have to be here.
My next official holiday is Memorial Day, but my problem is not so much no days off technically as finding 6 weeks that my company can spare me so as not to lose the vacation days that won't roll over.
I think we get 8 official holidays plus a floating holiday (since our office doesn't close on Good Friday).
