And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The male hooded seal, during mating season, blows the lining of his nose out like a balloon and waves it around to attract attention.

I have seen footage of this and it FREAKS ME THE HELL OUT. Noses should not do that.

No discussion of 24?

I completely forgot it was on. Luckily, my Tivo is smarter than me. (I've already seen the eps in question, but I wanted to watch them aired to see if anything had been changed.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So I was stuck in horrendous traffic on the way to work (still at what is normally 5 minutes from home, at the time when I should be at the office, 35 miles away) when I realised that I wasn't thinking so much about the standstill, or the being horrendously late for work, but rather the stiffness of my neck, the discomfort and nascent nausea.

It then occured to me what sick days are for, so I turned around for home. But looking at my work to do list, I will be taking the 10am meeting, and sending out an assload of e-mails, as well as setting up a chiro appointment.

What is even happening?

My TV has consisted mostly of the Blue's Clues musical that we got this weekend and has been demanded ever since.

I can't say where it comes from, but when you sing...

Art Crawl!!!

24: Cindy! You are not the only one suspecting Jack's new girl of being traitorous. (jon b said as much elsewhere.) I agree -- it would be a good twist. Plus, then the brother is just outspoken and against Daddy's policies and not a traitor. Heck, we're still allowed to speak out against government policy even when relatives are, you know, the government!

I haven't decided what to think of the new CTU head -- other than that she has in two hours made some very bad decisions.

I really feel like they hit the ground running. I thought that the MI-5 season opener was also very good. The weaknesses of the Alias pilot show up clearly in comparison. (Mainly, I just think it felt a little loose.)

ita, good call. I guess this sort of means bad traffic was a good thing today.

I think the brother is likely innocent. He was just way too freaked out by the whole thing--cowering in the laundry room, or back hall, or wherever the agents found him.

Poor Lukas Haas. Do you think he's going to make it out alive?

It looks like they're going to make Behrooz (sp? Turkish kid) kill the girlfriend, tonight.

I suspect this plot is going to be a bit of a fantasy about trying people like Rummy and Ashcroft for their crimes against humanity.
