Yeah, you don't want to sit too close to the stage for the Nutcracker, though. The pretty goes away when you can see their tendons.
My DH had front-row seats for this ballet, and was really deeply disturbed by getting to see the dancers dance offstage, collapse in the wings, sweat, towel off, have a cigarette, scratch themselves, etc. Sort of ruined the theater magic I guess.
I just received a Christmas gift that may get me struck by lightning: a Lego set called "Vampire's Crypt" and a DVD of "Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter." Which appears to be a musical and a kung-fu action movie. It's brilliant.
We got up at 4. We went to the airport. We lost a bag with the baby's snowsuit and clementines in it somewhere between the bus and the security checkpoint. We got to the gate. The flight was cancelled. We opted for a flight at 8pm tonight instead of flying to Philly now and taking our chances. We went to Elmo's (chocolate chip pancakes!) and came home.
No, they do not have enough snowplows in Columbus after all. Bah humbug.
Vampire Legos? What will they think of next?
On the bright side, flea, you didn't lose the baby. And maybe they'll have the airplanes and the weather sorted out by 8 PM.
She would have outgrown the snowsuit anyway. :-)
Good grief. I went away for a week and there's a bazillion posts and a new thread. I give up; I can't keep up with you young'uns.
Timelies!
Do most people have to work today?
Well, officially yes, but I took the day off what with the cross-country plane ride coming up. Weather-wise, it looks like it may turn out to be good that I'm flying via Atlanta, though I give myself about a one in four chance of not making my connection there. (Forty minutes. I wouldn't normally even try that, but I left my ticket-buying really late and that was the best I could do. So, you know, worst-case scenario, I make it to my parents' Friday morning instead.
Do most people have to work today?
Not sure if I count as "most people" but yep. And not even getting out early (unless the company decides on the spur of the moment).
Timelies!
I'm here, but expect the work day to end early.
