information libertarian

We got up at 4. We went to the airport. We lost a bag with the baby's snowsuit and clementines in it somewhere between the bus and the security checkpoint. We got to the gate. The flight was cancelled. We opted for a flight at 8pm tonight instead of flying to Philly now and taking our chances. We went to Elmo's (chocolate chip pancakes!) and came home.

No, they do not have enough snowplows in Columbus after all. Bah humbug.

Vampire Legos? What will they think of next?

On the bright side, flea, you didn't lose the baby. And maybe they'll have the airplanes and the weather sorted out by 8 PM.

She would have outgrown the snowsuit anyway. :-)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Good grief. I went away for a week and there's a bazillion posts and a new thread. I give up; I can't keep up with you young'uns.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Timelies!

Do most people have to work today?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Well, officially yes, but I took the day off what with the cross-country plane ride coming up. Weather-wise, it looks like it may turn out to be good that I'm flying via Atlanta, though I give myself about a one in four chance of not making my connection there. (Forty minutes. I wouldn't normally even try that, but I left my ticket-buying really late and that was the best I could do. So, you know, worst-case scenario, I make it to my parents' Friday morning instead.

Do most people have to work today?

Not sure if I count as "most people" but yep. And not even getting out early (unless the company decides on the spur of the moment).

Timelies!

Ann, that's a ferret.

I'm here, but expect the work day to end early.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So does this happen a lot? To grandfathers?

Meet the Fockers star Dustin Hoffman is celebrating after becoming a first-time grandfather earlier this month - but the good news has led to him developing breastfeeding urges. His daughter Jenna and her husband Seamus welcomed their son Augustus into the world just three weeks ago, and doting granddad Hoffman admits the experience has given him strange desires. He says, "I have felt almost the tendency to lactate. We don't realize, but when we're formed in the womb, we have milk glands, before we're differentiated between male or female and before God knows whether to make you male of female. When you think about it, why should men have nipples? And yet we do. I didn't think about it until I started to drip!"

I'll be working today, hopefully not the full day. I have to get home for an earlyish party before I pick up my parents from the airport.

No, I don't think... um, no. No. He is, perhaps, kidding?
