Ann, that's a ferret.

I'm here, but expect the work day to end early.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So does this happen a lot? To grandfathers?

Meet the Fockers star Dustin Hoffman is celebrating after becoming a first-time grandfather earlier this month - but the good news has led to him developing breastfeeding urges. His daughter Jenna and her husband Seamus welcomed their son Augustus into the world just three weeks ago, and doting granddad Hoffman admits the experience has given him strange desires. He says, "I have felt almost the tendency to lactate. We don't realize, but when we're formed in the womb, we have milk glands, before we're differentiated between male or female and before God knows whether to make you male of female. When you think about it, why should men have nipples? And yet we do. I didn't think about it until I started to drip!"

I'll be working today, hopefully not the full day. I have to get home for an earlyish party before I pick up my parents from the airport.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

No, I don't think... um, no. No. He is, perhaps, kidding?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Am working. We have our Christmas lunch today in the office, then we get to leave early. Also, I have a chocolate covered pretzel. Woo!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Timelies,

Full work day today. My co-workers and I were griping about it yesterday. Whenever Christmas falls during the week, we get sent home early Christmas Eve. Since we have Christmas Eve off instead, we're getting cheated out of that half day. (Though technically, not, as we're actually supposed to work a full day on Christmas Eve, our boss is just nice and lets us go home at noon if things are quiet, and they always are.) Same thing with New Years. In the end, that's a full extra day of work we have to work. Stupid Julian calendar.

I stopped watching Season 3 of Alias shortly after the episode with Will. Lauren, and Sydney's "I'm missing two years of my life!" storyline just got to be too much. I'm planning on watching again this year and I don't have Netflix. What's the best way to catch up?

THis is me. I recently netflixed S1 and I remember a bunch of S2, but S3 was just too irritating with the memory loss.

Also, where can I get vampire legos? It's the perfect combination of two interests.

It just gets better. The power is out at my SIL's house in rural Ohio, and she called to say, "are you sure you want to come? We seem to be having an ice storm. It could be days."

mr flea: "are you having a pity party on the buffistas?" me: "yes."

All our presents are in Ohio!!

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Well, i'm working about half a day. The home office is closed for weather concerns, so there's noone to answer questions for me anyway, and my boss didn't have the heart to mandate I work today, though there's a lot to do on this project.

So, I work a half day, and make us both happy-relatively.

It's okay. It's cold there. They'll keep.
