Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The gift for my giftee should (I hope) be done in a few days.

This year has had mixed reviews as far as I'm concerned.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I already sent my gift. I needed to get that done first so I could figure out with the heck I'm getting my family. I think it's all picked out but I just have to buy the stuff.

2004, in a quick blurb, seemed just that - a blip on the radar and me scratching my head saying "Where the hell did the year go?"

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I'm neither secret nor Santastic, but wanted to post to wish 2004 a warily ambiguous don't-let-the-door-hit-you-on-the-ass goodbye. If it's been a year full of both good and bad, was it just a year?

If Scooby Doo taught me anything, it's that the only thing to fear is real-estate developers.Lisa Simpson

2004 was like Belzer's routine about country music...I play it backwards I get my dog back, my cat back, my van back, and my country back. But I have done a lot creatively so I'm proud. "You killed my puppy, 2004. Prepare to die!"

"Being hungover is like winning the lottery, except they pay you in regret!" - T-Rex

13! Don't think I can jinx myself any more for next year than I did for this one, but I sure can try!

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

My favorite number is actually 13 and really good days happen on Friday the 13th. I'm jealous.

Because books.

I've never been in the top twenty of a thread before. This makes me unreasonably happy.

My Secret Santa gift just needs to be mailed! I'm so excited about sending it, I keep forgetting I'm getting one, too.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Nota Bene to my Secret Santa: Use the address in the Nilly email (the Indiana one). The LA address will be no good as of next week.

My Santa-ee's gift should be going out tomorrow.

2004 has been a hell of a year for me. Lots of milestones, and lots of happenings. Some stuff I'd rather not live over, but nothing that I can think of that I'd take back.

Art Crawl!!!

I can't even shop for my Slacker Seekret Santa gift until the 15th.

This is a warning.

This is kind of been a bad year for me, in that, work has sucked big time - particularly since summer.

I hope that next year is better.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

what is this sekret santa?

This year broke my heart in many ways, but I saw my parents and most of my siblings for the first time in 10 years and even enjoyed part of the experience. so there's that.

I hope the elections in the Ukraine and Iraq turn out better than ours did. And HOORAY FOR CANADA! and they're High Court backing legal marriage for all, not just the traditional choice.

eta: top 20!
